It should be okay should you not need to hear sound. The speaker is horrible.

My main computer for the last several years has been a Lenovo B570. I loved it. It is quite old and beat up so I was in the market for a new computer. I wanted to stay with Lenovo since I liked my last computer. I was looking at this computer and a few other Lenovo's. I read the reviews on here and elsewhere and decided to go to the store to see what they had in stock. I went to my local Best Buy and they only had one of the computers I was interested in stock. I didn't like it when I saw it too big. I asked about this one and he said he had a recent return and it would be considered and open box purchase. I looked at the computer and tried it out briefly in the store and bought it. Being an open box purchase I was able to get this computer for $276.99 instead of the clearance price of $379.99. This computer is only worth $276.99 or less. I did decide to keep it and I will explain my pro's and con's in the next paragraph. One of the negative reviews of this computer is the sound. It is accurate. Before I bought the computer at Best Buy I asked the sales associate if this was the computer that had the terrible sound quality and if he had heard anything regarding that. He kept reassuring me the sound was ok on this computer that this model was not the Lenovo computer that had the problem with the sound. He was wrong. He didn't know what he was talking about. The sound quality on this computer sounds like the Tin Can with the String experiment. One person holds the Tin Can to their ear with a string between the other Tin Can and the person on the other end speaks into the Tin Can and the sound travels down the string. That is the sound quality of this Laptop. Another negative is the battery life of this laptop is poor, small battery does not last long unplugged. The start button is on the bottom left side of the machine. I don't like the location and not sure how long it will last? The charger for the laptop is ridiculous! I have never seen such a poor design for a charger. Where it plugs into the wall the ac adapter is right there! It is the size of a beverage coaster squared and is about one inch thick! It easily falls away from the socket because of its poor design. I don't know if all the laptop chargers are like this now? The design is terrible. What I like about the computer. It is fast with the i5 processor. The graphics are good. The keyboard is decent. It is light weight and it did not have unnecessary preinstalled programs. I am able to install what programs I want. The USB ports are sufficient for me. Overall the computer is ok for what I use if for. Mainly surfing the web, emails, FB. I do stream movies and tv shows a lot on my computer so the sound was as disappointing as some of the reviews I read. The solution is to buy some cheap speakers for the laptop. For the price I was able to buy this computer for it was worth it. If I bought this computer at the clearance price of $379.99 I would of brought it back to Best Buy. I don't feel the computer is worth that much with all the Cons to it. My suggestion if you want this computer. Go to your local Best Buy and see if someone returned theirs, you could get $100 off of the clearance price listed online as an Open Box Purchase.

Simple and affordable laptop I just got it today and I love it it's very useful

As i was looking to get a gift i found this laptop to come with the best deal as it was one of the few that came with so many things in a bundle and a pretty light design too it as well

My husband switched from dinosaur laptop to this one. so figuring out the learning curves. but, it is a great buy and seems like a pretty good computer for the price.

This is a great laptop for normal, everyday use. It seams to work pretty well, although I've had to restart it twice since I've had it (3 weeks now) because it just froze up. But overall it's been great.
