Purchased my first Lenovo at an outstanding price about 7 years ago. I loved it so much that I decided to get the updated version when the mother-board on the old one stared to fail. As much as I love the speed and relatively light weight of this new 17" Ideapad, I am considering returning it because of the aggravation I'm experiencing with the new keypad design! They have enlarged the Up-Arrow Key and moved it up into the bottom line of text keys in between the backslash and right shift key. To do this they had to shorten the shift key so now whenever I try to right-shift I end up hitting the Up-Arrow which sends the cursor to the line of text above. I literally have to stop typing and look at the right-shift key every time I need to use it otherwise I have to go back and figure out where the cursor has jumped to and correct the out of place type before I can proceed. This keyboard design is hindering my typing speed an accuracy which is causing issues with my work productivity... Please Lenovo, change it back! The second issue I have with this new computer is that there are only 2 USB ports so by the time I plug in my mouse and laptop fan they're full... something has to be unplugged if I want to transfer data. I guess I didn't pay close enough attention when I purchased it assuming it would be just like my old one. This is an easier fix than the keyboard though. I won't be buying another Lenovo until they correct their keyboard design.

Every once in awhile the curser goes wonky and you lose complete control. It moves all over the place and to say the least, it's very annoying. I found that the only way to fix it is to press the up, down and side arrows for a few seconds - sometimes pressing all of these keys at the same time corrects the issue as well. Other than that I'm very happy with it.

I bought this lab top less than a year ago, i am already having problems and i barely use it. Also, the speakers suck!!!

I've been using the Lenovo 17" computer for approximately 2 months and still love it. It has the built in number keypad, the 17" screen really makes it easy to read spreadsheets and anything else that I need to read or work with. Easy setup. Not a ton of bells and whistles, but I'm really not into that. I would highly recommend. My last laptop was a Toshiba Satellite - this is the better of the two!! Only complaint is the right "shift" button is a little too far to the right - I tend to hit the page up button more than I care to.

I just bought this laptop because it seems to be a good option, I wanted it to software development, but after using it for a couple of hours only having installing Chrome and trying to browse to many tabs at the same time and running some programs it becomes too slow, then it restart because some updates I had to wait for almost 4 hours until finish, after updating everything is worse... I won't recommend it. It's a pity a model with Intel core i7 is too slow, I don't like it

For the price you pay for this laptop it performs at a fantastic level. Large screen size and extremely fast.

Very impressed with the speed and capability of this laptop. However, less than two months of ownership, it started acting inappropriately - and finally failed. Geek Squad diagnosed it as having a bad hard drive and also a bad mother board. They chose to give credit rather than repairing it.

This laptop has a nice large screen. It was easy to set up.

This laptop seemed very cheaply made when we took it out of the box. Within a week it started freezing up and requiring multiple reboots to get it working again. We exchanged it for a different brand. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

This is my third Lenovo laptop. It's a great laptop and I love the 17" screen! The only drawback I found is that the Microsoft Office software was not preloaded and I had to purchase Word separately.

I purchased this unit after my 15.6 Lenovo failed. I have been VERY satisfied with its speed and operation.

Super fast, great fit on keyboard, screen very large. I love it. Best buy so far!!

For my first laptop I'm very happy with my choice. I'm glad I chose Lenovo.

This is second time I try to buy Lenovo. The first one complete fail CPU after I bought 6 months. why I try to bought second one from Lenovo because this one was Intel® Core™ i7-7500U with good price but Intel® HD Graphics 520 not look right and speaker not perfect like everyone expect, Keyboard with small right shift key, I type always mistake with PgUp Key. I just bought few days. Hope everything ok

We purchased this laptop for our buisness. We may have logged 20 hour total on the laptop when it just stopped working. No lights no power. Called the company and they explained we had to pay to ship the laptop back to them and explained every would be lost that was stored on it. Called our local best buy to see if they could recover the info and for 100 they could do so. So now we are stuck with a like new laptop because I don't feel it should cost us almost 200 to get it fixed. Thanks best buy!
