The computer is working great and it’s really good for my kids. It’s a start off computer that runs smoothly and not that expensive. I really suggest this.

I purchased this for my son, and the machine itself works great. My only issue is with the quality of the hinges. The lid which is metal is screwed into the base with is plastic, so as you can imagine the constant opening and closing of the lid eventually causes the hinge to completely snap off the base. Again good machine just low quality.

A Laptop that Begs for an Upgrade

I bought this Lenovo notebook as an 'open-box' item at my local Best Buy. Upon setting it up, I did notice that it was a little sluggish, but ran well and performed all of the Windows Updates easily. I made a recovery drive and decided to do some upgrades. I replaced the hard drive with a Solid State drive and bumped the memory to 16GB (there is NO ram built onto this board as the listing describes). Then the miracle or rebirth as it reloaded quickly and now runs very well.
The display is good for a laptop of this price, as is the wireless/bluetooth, keyboard, touchpad and DVD player. The computer is not too heavy so a student should be able to use it for school. I couldn't find any flaws in this system but the case is black and very cheap-looking, but well-made. It will play basic to semi-advanced games, but not the heavy-hitters, so it is NOT a gaming computer.
If you plan on using it out of the box, be prepared to be a little frustrated as the hard drive is VERY slow, and not much memory. But if you have the ability (or have Geek Squad do it) to upgrade, then you will have a very nice computer for daily tasks.

When one purchases a Lenovo laptop or desk top PC one knows right up front what is being purchased. The Lenovo's are dependable, easy to pilot, but always just a tad on the slow side. If, like me, your office has a MAC and you are coming home to a PC it is a bit frustrating WAITING and WAITING but that is what you get and should not expect the newer model to be any faster. I have two Lenovo laptops, both equally slow, but two years apart in age. If you are looking for depenability, Lenovo, ease of use, Lenovo, speedy response MAC. Just as sort of a caveat; I beat up my MAC and it has never, not once, let me down. But they cost so much money. Lenovo is affordable but ya gotta be patient, very patient, unfreaking-believably patient or else you may pitch your Lenovo out the window and scrape up the coins for a MAC.

I bought this for my mother, she uses it for surfing the web, gaming, and emails. It has more than enough processor and storage to handle the jobs. I was very impressed that it included a DVD drive at this price point.
A couple of complaints. Battery life is rated at only 2 hours, and that seems correct. And the battery is not easily replaceable.
The screen is rather pale, and does not handle ambient light very well.
But for a very inexpensive laptop it is well built and a solid value.

I got this for my wife on a sale and was really happy to find the laptop is pretty good for the price paid. It comes with Windows 10 installed and i installed office 365 and the performance has been pretty consistent. Works well and have been using for just over a month and did not see any major issues. The 4* is for the mouse performance as it can be at times flaky and at times can be on its own world, but for the price of near $200 levels it is a perfect one to start with

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

This is a great laptop if you're on a budget. I had a netbook that I used at work that refused to update due to a ridiculous cycle that I won't even get into here, so eventually I decided to just get another one.
The screen size is more than adequate for my needs, it fits in my work bag, and it runs The Sims 4 and some other games with no issues. I didn't even realize that it had the CD drive when I bought it since so many computers don't have them anymore.
My only complaint is the battery life. Maybe it's because I was coming from a netbook rather than a laptop and that thing had stellar battery life, but I figure it's worth noting.

Good for the price my first laptop, can surf pretty fast. Nice amount of memory, sounds decent speakers on the bottom, games yes, music yes, streaming yes but not at the same time due to battery life about 2.5 hours. Office one month trial is included. Has DVD drive so good for the price.

Scored this laptop on sale at best buy for 200$ and couldn't be happier. Lightweight, slim, and works great. I use it for work. Spreadsheets, email, browsing, typical Microsoft office stuff. As with any laptop I've ever bought I uninstall all the extra stuff that is preloaded that could potentially slow it down right out of the box and as always the response time picked up instantly. I love it...

My wife's 6+ year old lenovo notebook died during the night. Rather than throw good money into an old machine I went looking and found this notebook. Perfect for everyday use with enough hard drive and RAM and a decent processor. Even has a DVD/CD drive. At $209 I consider this a steal and if I'd known anyone who needed a new computer I would have bought 2!

I didn’t have any trouble setting up my laptop. After I installed my virus protection I searched for updates. There it was! That huge windows 10 update! Ugh! I fought with that on my old laptop. Thankfully everything went well. I still have a ton of space! I went through and deleted the things I didn’t want and changed a lot of settings to compress files instead of indexing. After this I did a disc clean up and followed up with a defrag. I’m not sure why some of you think this lap top is slow. Mine is super fast!

All and all I'm pleased with the buy. I needed to replace my older laptop that quit on me just before black Friday. I was tired of buying expensive computers because I feel like there is always something that goes wrong within a few years and I end up buying a new one anyway. This is perfect. I can pay my bills and surf the web just like on any other over priced computer. If you need something simple then this is all you need.
