They appreciate that it is a good deal for the price and offers great performance for everyday tasks and gaming. Admittedly, windows 8 is not my favorite operating system but after a little trial and error, I have learned where everything is. I also had some issues with the built-in mouse, where it would freeze up. I disabled the scrolling and it works fine now. This is apparently a common issue. But other than that, I really love this computer. I works really well and the price was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this computer to anyone.

This is my first experience with Windows 8 and I don't like it. The laptop seems to perform very well on anything I need it to do, once I figure out how to do it. Couple things seem cheap, keyboard is very flimsy and it kind of annoys me that here are no led indicators for anything other than the battery, I like to be able to see if there is hard drive activity. For the money, pretty good deal, if you already know how to use Windows 8.

Now my review isn't full of tech jargon but it is honest. I bought this laptop because the one I had died. I had very little money to spend but needed something for my summer courses now. I had gone to look at some smaller touchscreen computers but was directed to this one because it had a speedier processor and a way bigger hard drive. I've had it for a month and I really love it. I never intended to like it this much but I do. It handles my class work needs, streams Netflix very well, and while it may be a bigger laptop, it's quite light. So personally I really would suggest this computer for the low pricepoint.

I purchased this laptop as a gift for my brother. It was his first new one. I wanted a lightweight easy to learn to use unit and this is definitely meeting my expectations. I spent a few hours over a long weekend familiarizing him with windows 8 and he loves it.

I love this laptop. Great price, does everything I want it to do, and has some features that were not available on other similarly-priced laptops, such as the VGA input (which I use for work sometimes) and bluetooth capability. The fact that it also includes an optical drive to play CDs/DVDs really influenced me as well, since I have tons of DVDs and didn't want to settle for not being able to play them on my laptop. The speed is great, in my opinion. We have a 105 Mbps connection at home, and the internet is very fast on this laptop. I can have PhotoShop, Word, and Chrome open on five tabs all at once and not experience any lag or slowness. The kids have used it to play low-demand games (like on pbskids.org and similar) and not had any trouble, but I haven't used it for more demanding games. Also, the sound is TONS better than my previous laptop, but I don't have other current laptops to compare to--this one has much louder and clearer sound than what I had before (but the old laptop was OLD, like seven years old, and never had terribly good sound to begin with). The only thing I didn't initially like was that the edge of the laptop (under the touchpad, near your wrists) is a hard 90 degree angle, and if you do rest your wrists there at all, it's not pleasant. If you are ergonomically correct and keep your wrists up, it's not an issue, of course. Overall, I'm really pleased with this laptop and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable option. I haven't dealt with getting iTunes set up on here, but I'll update this review when I do.

Laptop is great, works fast, has enough RAM to not be slowed down by multitasking or really log web pages, multiple scripts running etc...however I hate Windows 8...really miss Windows Mail / Outlook Express...also hate that you can't just turn on a PC and use it...now you have to have or create an identity...MS is just far to intrusive. I like to turn on a device and use it...not connect it to every facet of my life....but the laptop works great and was a great value I think I paid like $249 on sale and feel like I got a lot of value for the price. Really hope Windows 10 is more like Windows 7 and less like Windows 8.

Great deal for the money, really hard to get bang for your buck anywhere else. The computer isn't a gaming rig, but can still handle light things, the processor is comparable to an i3 and sometimes people like myself like using laptops like desktops instead of touching the screen all the time. Which it doesn't have touchscreen but I dont mind it.

Lenovo has put quite abit of their software into this laptop. My virus protection found a Trojan in the software. Virus/malware is a must and I am glad that is the first thing I installed. I have since uninstalled most of their software. The laptop was on sale, that is why I purchased it.

This is a very dependable and sturdy home computer. We use it for accounting and all home office type things. Pretty fast for the kids gaming, although this is not a gaming computer. You can't do much better than this at a great price.

Picked this up on sale for about 250. Love it, came with 6 gig of RAM which for a sub 300 laptop is great. I am new to windows 8 and i am not liking it but the laptop runs very well!

I bought this laptop to do onsite sound recordings. The program I use (SONAR by Cakewalk) is cpu intensive and the computer used has to be quick and consistent in it's performance. This one works well. No bells and whistles, just a good, basic computer with a robust processor. Good buy for the money.

Really good price for a quad core laptop, even the processor is AMD the laptop runs very smooth. I say this because I have been always more used to the Intel processors. Anyway I strongly recommend this product.

I purchased the laptop for my mother-in-law's birthday as I was tired of hearing her complain about how slow her old computer was. The excellent value for the processor, drive, screen and 6GB of on-board ram, was what pushed this laptop to be the one I chose. It is so good she is thinking of purchasing a second laptop for a gift (ssssssuh!) done tell... LOL

A while ago my wife and I decided that we both would like a new laptop. Neither of us needed a super high performance machine. My wife wanted something that could handle some moderate photo editing (Photoshop and Lightroom). I wanted something that could run Microsoft Office, decent quality video playback, and light gaming (I'm happy playing older/less demanding titles when away from my Xbox One). After a lot of research, I became interested in this Lenovo (mostly due to the price). I started to read/watch every review on this model that I could. I did plenty of hardware comparisons and reviews of the individual components. I became fairly confident that this model would handle what my wife and I intended to throw at it. When Best Buy made it a deal of the day for $250 I pulled the trigger on two (the benefit of buying an inexpensive computer is that we each got our own). Because we purchased them for less than we anticipated we ordered additional RAM and immediately upgraded each laptop to 8GBs of memory. I have been nothing but pleased with these computers. Are they high performance? NO! Don't buy this model if you have intentions of running high demand video editing software or the latest and greatest video games. But for the price, I have been very happy with our purchases. There is some credibility to the complaints that others have had about the keyboard. For the first couple of days my keyboard acted a little funny, not recognizing keystrokes, and lagging a little. But I haven't had any issues with the keyboard since. I have removed a few of the "bloatware" programs, replacing them with what I deem to be better alternatives, and I believe that has increased the efficiency/speed/user experience. Again, I am very happy with this computer. For what it is, it does it well, and without breaking the bank. I would highly recommend (and I have) this laptop to friends and family.

This laptop was by far the best value I found after doing my research online. The only thing that prevents it from being a 5-star is the battery life could be better and after I upgraded to Windows 10 (for free), it was noticeably slower. Other than that, it's worked out great.

I returned this computer, not because it was terrible, but because it didn't meet a particular need. The AMD A8 processor simply wasn't powerful enough to use with an elgato HD60 capture card, unfortuantely. That aside, it's a decent computer. I give it a 3 star rating, however, because I don't consider it to be a "good," computer. First, it's loaded with bloatware. I understand that helps keep the price down, but it's still annoying. Second, the laptop is heavy and a bit cumbersome. Couple that with the fact the processor is lacking, and it makes this an average machine. If you need a cheap laptop that still runs on Windows, I suppose this is a viable option. It'd work well as a computer to keep in the living room and go online, but that's about it IMO.

I was in a bind. I was unemployed and needed a laptop to look for work. I spent well over an hour in the store. The gentleman who helped me spent the entire time with me. We had it narrowed down between 3 models of laptops. I choose this 1 which was in the middle. It was perfect for the price. I now use it every day to work from home. I live mostly in a Web based environment for work running multiple chrome windows and it can keep up. I will also run word and excel at the same time. I am not a gamer so I can not speak to that. I do run pandora in the background and it can handle all that at the same time. It will also stream Netflix and Hulu with out buffering. I also purchased the 1 yr office suite, kaspersky, and 1 yr geek squad. Which the geek squad has already pd for its self. I recommend this for anyone who isn't hard on their computers. It isn't very well protected as it's very light. I keep it in my case when not in use.

My current laptop was 5 years old and barely functioning so I was in need of a new laptop. I bought this Lenova from BB when it was on sale for a little over 260 including my sales tax. Shipped fast to my home. I have to say that I am very impressed with it. It is thin and light. I have always been a fan of the AMD chips and have excellent luck with them. The chip along with the memory on this laptop provides me with a very fast internet browsing experience. Display is crisp and clear. Upgraded to Windows 10 free. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I will start off by saying that I bought this when it was on sale and I also received Office 365 for free with my purchase, so it was a great deal for a low end computer to take care of simple everyday tasks. The build quality is better than some of the other brands in this price range and it has expandable memory and hard drive to make it faster if you have the knowledge to crack open the case. It is under the keyboard so I recommend not doing the upgrade by yourself if you feel uneasy about it. The screen is decent but I am used to HD so I am more skeptical than the average user would be I guess. My daughter uses this to play Minecraft and The Sims so it can play those games pretty easily but if you are needing any type of gaming don't think this is going to play the games that need more power! Ain't gonna happen without some hiccups! All in all, I would recommend this for anyone that is on a budget and needs a computer to do the basics.

I purchased this laptop to take with me on vacation in case I needed to connect back to the states to do some emergency server work as at this price I didn't care if it ended up at the bottom of the Atlantic or lost as my other laptop was way too expensive to have to baby sit. It handles your basics pretty well. Web browsing is okay, screen is decent, sound is a bit quiet, and of course it is bulky in my opinion. I used an ultrabook for my daily work so anything else probably seems bulky to me. Overall it is a good laptop and you do get a good product for the money. If you are a typical consumer who isn't picky it is a good value. If your an IT person you would consider it good for basic Web browsing and remote access duties.
