They appreciate that it is a good deal for the price and offers great performance for everyday tasks and gaming. However, customers are negative about the battery life, keyboard, Windows 8 operating system, and bloatware. Great computer for the price. My second Lenovo.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't beat the price for a very good and dependable laptop. Perfect size and weight, does everything expected and does it well. As I said, this is my second Lenovo laptop and very happy with the brand. It came with Windows 8, which I am not a fan of and will probably upgrade to Windows 10 when all the bugs are worked out. Came with free 6 month virus protection WEBROOT which I highly recommend installing since I did get ridicules amount of pop ups especially when I installed Mozilla. Uninstalled Mozilla and used Webroot and all's good.

Great starter Computer for day to day use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never thought about buying a Lenovo laptop, until I bought this one for a very reasonable price on sale. The laptop preforms as needed for daily web use or office products and video watching. Its not as slow some might think, this is not a gaming laptop!. Display is not very visible out doors in the sun, but indoors its great. sound quality, keyboard are all great. The only think I dislike about this laptop is the mouse pad becomes unresponsive and very slow, and even sometimes on web browser it moves tabs when just click on them.

Good laptop at a good price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a basic computer for the modern times. I have owned very cheap laptops and also expensive Apple computers. At this price point I would say its a pretty good computer. I am only using it for monor applications right now and it does just fine. I dont love the new windows os but thats just my opinion.

Great Laptop Lenovo AMD A8 Series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a descent laptop without spending a bunch of money and this seem to have a good balance of features for the price point of 300 range and it comes with an optical drive which seems hard to find in laptops, CD/DVD recordable drive, Bluetooth and wireless n not ac but that's okay for me don't have ac router anyways. nice screen size full keyboard not backlight, would of like to see Lenovo come back with the keyboard light like the Think-Pads had, also love Lenovo for ease of upgrading memory hard drive all under back cover don't have to take whole laptop apart to get too. Very happy with this laptop upgrade to win 10 went well it will ask you to upgrade as soon as it boots into windows for the first time if you postpone it. it will start after reboot just be aware I was not ready to upgrade just yet, so I would pick not right now if I had to do it again.

Great laptop for value!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my mom who needed a new laptop. She had basic needs - internet, MS Office, etc. This laptop is perfect for someone who just needs the essentials. You do need to purchase Microsoft Office but for the value, you cant beat it. Very slim and sleek as well.

One of the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.-Great design. -very practical -very affordable I did a lot of research to get the best quality for the lowest price, I decided to get this laptop. It was the lowest price ever for the hardware properties of this laptop (ignoring that it doesn't have a touchscreen which I don't need). * The only problem until now is that the left touchpad button is 1 mm depressed (still functional though), and the touchpad sensitivity is not that great (this is why I always use a mouse)

OK but could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I should have gone to the store to look at this before I bought it. It is very big and heavy although thin. I also did not realize the keyboard has a number pad which forces the center of the keyboard itself to be off center from the screen, a real PITA; same for the pointing device. Windows 8 is very different from 7 and after 2 months I still have not become accustomed to it.

Good and basic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed something really basic to get me by for a few months before I was able to obtain my business laptop from my new job. This has fit the bill nicely. It is not fancy, but it does everything I need (word processing, internet, presentations, etc.). The battery life is sufficient (a couple hours - haven't timed it) and I like the large keyboard with the number pad. I also love how this laptop actually has a CD drive (becoming rare these days) and also has such a great diversity of ports (a couple USB, ethernet, SD card, HDMI, even a VGA - another rarity these days). The only negative thing I have noticed is sometimes the keys are a little iffy. You have to be sure to hit them all with enough force for them to register. It seems like when I use my normal typing weight/speed, some letters don't register. It can be pretty annoying. But I am just learning to hit all the letters with more force.

Good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Me and my friend bought this computer at the same time. He thought it was a bit slow but I thought it was perfectly fine for what I was using it for. I want to say it runs about the same as my older core2duo laptop which is still in pretty good running condition. The keyboard took a bit of getting use to but after that, I really liked the weight and the design. If you need faster version, you can choose the intel version instead which will run you a bit more.

Good Value

Great bang for the buck!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as replacement laptop for my mom. She isn't hooked on old operating systems, so adapted to windows 8 home screen seemlessly. She streams lots of video from Korea and the laptop performs flawlessly without lag or buffering. Picture looks fantastic. Her only complaint was that it wasn't as loud as her previous computer, which was a big tank,a few years old and fairly expensive. This much more affordable laptop is really this and light and there's simply no room for large speakers. A quick $20 purchase of laptop speakers and she's as happy as could be. Great purchase.

Awesome laptop for basic user
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have loved this laptop since we got it, we also got the computer right when the update for windows 10 came around; which made it even better! It is super fast and smooth, the processor is not the fastest, but for basic web surfing and light use like we use it, its great! I removed all the worthless, annoying lenovo bloatware pre-installed! After I did that, its even faster. For the price I do not think you can go wrong. I

Good little laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fit exactly what I needed, the work computer went down and we needed another quickly-easy set up, pulled everything I needed from the cloud and within about 20 mins, I was up and running again. I WILL say, that windows updates are not a pleasure to deal with..this one got hung up for a little while after the first week or so, but after the update, there were considerable speed increase..overall I am happy with my purchase

Good for video editing without too much $$
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was actually looking at a different computer before I was introduced to this one. I wanted something to do some simple small editing on pictures occasionally, but more gopro video editing. Its not the top of the line computer, but it works great for me. worth it the only thing I don't really like, is the touch pad isn't exactly in the middle, so I end up having a habit and touching the side of the pad and running off of it

Solid laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is solid, battery life is not the best, and comes with some pre-installed junk software. But hey for $250, it can't be beat.

Nice budget laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace an older Lenovo laptop that had reached its limits of effective use. Nice and compact for a 15.6" unit. Like the keyboard very much, easy tactile and click function. Screen is sufficient for a laptop and is very clear with nice color output. I'm just getting used to Windows 10, so I'll reserve judgement on its effectiveness. The processor and memory seem to be able to handle all I need them for with ease. I'm not a gamer so this was perfect for my personal computing needs.
