Good computer horrible customer service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is great. My biggest issue is with best buy. I purchased this item for my law office. Got around to opening it up past the 15 day return policy. I purchased the computer "open box" because it was the last one in that size. I was assured by the best buy associate that the computer was great and just returned. Well, upon opening the box it was missing the mouse and keyboard. Called the store inquiring about the mouse and keyboard missing. Long story short, they did nothing about it. Never again best buy. I understand the return policy but, I didn't want to return the item just wanted the missing mouse and keyboard.

Good value.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen dims on it's own or sometimes never comes on bright to begin with. Took it back to the store bought it at and a driver was updated that was supposed to fix the problem but didn't.

Awesome Portable Desktop!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of reading and research before finally whittling my choices down to the Lenovo Horizon 2s and the Acer AZ3. I initially bought the Acer for 3 reasons: price, the bigger display (21.5' vs 19.5") and the HDMI port. I had the Acer for about a week and a half before I returned it and paid the extra couple hundred bucks for the Lenovo; it has been WELL worth it. First, it's an extremely attractive machine, from the very thin profile of the computer, to the slim and ergonomically-minded wireless keyboard and mouse. The IPS display is full HD (unlike most of the competing portable desktop machines, including the lower end Lenovo models), so photos and movies look awesome. It's not the best display out there, but far better than the Acer display, which was also full HD. The matte screen finish is nice, but it does tend to smudge pretty easily. The fold out stand is serviceable, but I plan on buying the additional charging stand, which is unfortunately another $90. One of the main reasons for returning the Acer for the Lenovo was the fact that the Lenovo weighs in at just over 5 pounds, making it far more serviceable as a true "portable" desktop, which essentially makes it function as a bigger, more capable tablet. Specs claim that battery life is around 3 hours, but I probably haven't gotten more than 2; although, to be fair, I usually run my display brightness fairly high. The speakers are average, if not slightly below average, although with as thin as this PC is (just over half an inch), you can't reasonably expect booming sound. The Acer had exceptional speakers; wish this one could also! As far as performance is concerned, I wish this came with more than 4GB of RAM - which is the bare minimum for Windows 8.1 - or at the very least gave the option to expand the RAM later. If you want to run heavy-duty graphic design programs or play newer game releases like Call of Duty, you likely won't be able to do either. That said, you're probably going to pay a lot more for a computer that does those things, especially if you plan on purchasing a portable desktop. For my purposes, the 4GB RAM and 500GB Hard Drive are sufficient, although the Pentium I5 processor definitely helps keep things running smoothly when multitasking between several things. There's a noticeable difference between the Intel Core I5 processor and the lower end J2850 in the Acer machine. I've only had this PC for about a week, so I haven't installed a ton of software yet, although I have used some of the preloaded items - and uninstalled some of the bloatware. The intuitive Aura software is responsive and a lot of fun, although I'm not quite sure how useful it will be on a day to day basis. If you're looking for the "Tl; Dr" version: - Awesome looking PC, light, thin & very portable - Great full HD display - Solid at multi-tasking, fairly quick at most things; won't run newer PC games or hardcore graphic design programs - Decent 2-3 hour battery life - The only think keeping this from being a perfect 5 stars is the 4GB RAM and the lack of HDMI port. Well worth the money; far better than comparable portable desktop PCs, including the Lenovo Flex, Acer AZ3 and HP Envy.
