You will not be doing any hardcore gaming with this unit but it is way more than what is needed for everyday computing. First of all, it is such a great value for the money. Newest core i5 processor, 8gb of DDR4 ram, and plenty of storage with the included 1 terabyte hard disk. I decided to upgrade the hard drive to an SSD unit and all I can say is, WOW this sucker is fast. The unit does not come fully loaded with every piece of bloatware under the sun unlike some of the competition. The unit does not have a full HD display but is HD and is pretty clear and bright for my needs. The keyboard does have a funky layout due to the up key being positioned right under the enter key, so that may take some getting used to. I also find that the track-pad buttons feel a bit cheap and really clicky. The track-pad seems to be pretty accurate and has a good feel under your fingers. The unit is easily upgrade-able with easy to access hard drive and ram compartments. The laptop has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy for the value that I received when I purchased this unit.

I saw this item and the price and was drawn to it. It has an Intel i5 7th gen processor and DDR4 memory and throw in a DVD player. I would have expected to pay at least $150 more. It has a 10 key pad to boot. This is NOT a gaming computer and that was OK with me, It was for my wife to use to play Facebook games and use for Email. I have not connected the laptop to our TV yet thru the HDMI port to check that quality but, it works fine with the VGA port. My wife is happy with the speed of the laptop and the AC wireless speed. The only weak spots are the HDD (5400 rpm) and the lower screen resolution (not 1080p) and the battery is not removable. I will be installing a SSD soon and it should be ultra zippy then, Overall though the laptop is well worth the price and I do not regret grabbing this deal. I expect it to last at least 4 years.

For a latest generation i5 processor with 8GB of ram this laptop can't be beat. The screen is decent, sound quality is good, keyboard is solid. The only real complaint I have with the machine is that the touchpad doesn't have a right-click option with two fingers. You have to use the physical button and it is noisy. Some people have complained about the right shift key, I was able to quickly adapt and continue typing as normal.

My hubby has always had an ASUS laptop with the last one being only 3 months old. Unfortunately, he didn't realize it was under his recliner when he went to get up and he shattered the screen. So off to Best Buy we went and after looking and comparing the laptops, to my surprise my hubby decided he wanted the Lenovo - 310-15IKB 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Textured ebony black. I was shocked as he's always only had ASUS. Since purchasing it, he is so satisfied with the speed, the ease of use and the design of his laptop. Great buy for the price!

My 7 year old computer crashed and bought this one as a replacement for it. I have had it for about a month now and it is great. Awesome battery life, great for multitasking with a double screen. The only inconvenience is the position of some keyboard keys.. the shift button is the smallest thing ever so it has taken me time to get used to it. Other than that, if you wanna keep this computer fast, i just bought myself an extra external drive to keep all my future files/pictures/ etc in.

Based on the price list this is a pretty solid personal computer for basic level needs, such as MS word processing, Internet browsing or email communication. Since these are exactly what I need to do with my laptop, I feel very comfortable with this model. Personally I will not playing game with my laptop since this will hurt my sight in a long run. If you are looking for a gaming machine this maybe not fast enough based on its functions listed. But I have never tried that myself. In one word, this one is exactly fine with my purposes to have a laptop.

Hi, I really like this laptop and the price. It's a 7th generation i5 processor with 8 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD, which are the highlight of this laptop. I bought this laptop for my mother who is not really technically savvy but like to browse a lot and transfer songs between phone and laptop. Although I believe this configuration is little but overkill for her needs but at this price it is very good buy. I didn't get to explore much on this one, but yes it is but heavy for my mother (who is 70) to carry.

I bought this laptop for my wife to replace an older laptop. This laptop works great and was priced right. It has a fast i5 processor, 1 TB hard disk, 8 GB RAM and Windows 10. It's more laptop than my wife needs, but it was priced right. For the money this laptop was a great deal.

I recently lost my MacBook and needed a laptop right away. I'm a bit of a hardware snob... I like Intel Core i5/i7 processors, and lots of memory because I do data-basing. This Laptop was a steal! It comes with a 1 tb HDD, however I replaced it with a 500 GB SSD and this thing FLYS! I was impressed with how fast it was with the original equipment, and blown away at what this thing can do with a SSD. Having been a Mac person for so long I was really impressed by this Windows 10 PC. (with the original equipment it loaded from cold boot in 20s, with the SSD it loads in 7s) Cons: Keyboard is awkward, Screen Resolution (I wish it were 1080p, but for $399 I'm not gonna complain too much!) Pros: Good sized Trackpad, Screen Size, SPEED!

This is my first Lenovo laptop. I was a Dell person before this. Wanted a new laptop for home use. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Lenovo 310-15IKB has 7th generation i5 processor with 8 GB RAM and 1 TB hard drive which is sufficient for home use. Had a look at a Dell laptop which was same price, but processor was 5th generation i5. So I went for Lenovo. Great value for money.

I was looking for a laptop under $500 and this one was a great choice. High resolution screen, good speed, and more space than I can ever use! No issues at all. Very easy to use. I highly recommend it.

I bought this laptop for my kids (12, 9 years old) after doing a lot of research. For this price, I think it's the best you can get. I don't care much for a touch screen so didn't look for touch screen laptops at all. Lenovo is a powerful and credible brand that I am using at work so I wanted to get the same credibility at home as well. My sons use it for games, internet, homework, and also for more resource-consuming work like graphics, image processing and programming (my older son). It is powerful and reliable. No complaints. I do agree with what other users wrote about the right-shift key which is hard to get used to. But my boys didn't complain at all. Overall - a great buy.

The Lenovo laptop is a great laptop which comes equipped with many top-notch performance features. The laptop has more than enough memory and RAM and is perfect for home or work use. The reason it did not get 5 stars is because the touchpad for the mouse seems to stick and seems to cause you to drag items and zoom in/zoom out when you are not intending to.

Lots of storage, quick snuff for multi tasking anything you would want to do in a home or business environment. Would have liked to see a higher resolution, but, really, at this price point that is properly an unrealistic request. So, not a gaming machine. Construction just ok - remains to be seen how well it will hold up with lots of travel. Great value.

Well-built. Lots A great price for a modern pc work horse. I recently switched from Toshiba to the Lenovo for several reasons. First, I purchased two Toshibad in six years and both have resulted in problems. In my opinion the manufacturing just can keep up with the today's productivity requirements. Today's Internet browser surfer and interactive user requires a work horse. A touchscreen would make it a winner hands down but the Pentium processor I5 is what makes this tool a performer. My last Toshiba laptop was once ranked as a workhirse but when my first laptop begin to shut down randomly and I decided to reinvest. I bought two, one as my main laptop and another as a backup. . Two months however after opening the box of this the backup Toshiba, it too began to shut down randomly causing me to lose work and productivity. I was forced to buy another laptop and the Lenovo was my first choice . My wish list included a touch screen three in one but my wallet in my budget was limited. This was the best performer for my dollars. I love Best Buy because they give you the information to make informed decisions. I read the reviews and I was convinced that I made the best choice. The shift key is awkwardly position but for the money and the work power , This Lenovo is worth the inconvenience. I eventually bought a wireless keyboard and mouse because in my experience the keyboards and mouse pads of any laptop are subject to overuse. This laptop works because the Pentium chip can handle the workload of video streaming Internet multi window multi functional tasks. Above all and in conclusion this particular Lenovo is well-equipped to do the job and I predict that it will serve me for many long years to come.
