ill know how it works tomorrow as it was a gift. im a ipad guy so pcs arent my style

This lenovo should have enough power to do normal tasks like internet browsing and file browsing. Out of the box it was sluggish and i believe 100% has to do with windows 10 OS. Ended up returning and getting an apple mini. Less specs but faster OS

wish it was a bit faster. should have spent more money for a better model

This is a basic computer for a starter. I needed something with more memory.

Set it up and then turned the machine off. Came back later to use the computer and it wouldn't boot up. After messing with it for a while, I got it working again. This was for an elderly lady and I couldn't risk this happening again.

Very very slow. I returned it for an upgrade to the H50 model. Not enough RAM for most of today's applications, and the AMD A10 processor in the H50 puts this Intel i3 to shame.

why manufactures insist on skimping (4gb) out on ram and utilizing low speed / low cache hdd (5400rpm / 8mb) while charging premiums I have no idea

Returned it. The unit didnt maintain wifi connection consistently. I've bought a different computer (and brand) that works fine in the exact same location, so it wasn't my wifi.

Returned this desktop after 2 days, not impressed with it's performance, went with the new HP, very happy!

The computer wants to sleep all the time. Can not get the sleep mode off.

Froze up the second day I had it. Bought Dell to replace it and enough said.

I am a 65 yr old novice and made this Lenovo 510 work with the greatest of ease... I plugged in my monitor and it lit up full screen.. my old Gateway that was fading fast didn't accommodate the new wide screen monitor size and I had space on the sides (without distorting it stretching to fit)... the new screen is now filled wall to wall with the new computer and not distorted... plugged in my cordless keyboard and mouse and that fired right up... I transported all my documents from the old machine to the new via my external gizmo, plugged it in and watched it go... I plugged up my cable and there was my internet... I bought an Office, Home and Student 2016 and entered the info to Microsoft and watched it go... All has been working flawlessly... (Knock, knock, knock on wood)... The old Gateway ran on "Vista" if anyone remembers that... I helped a person set up their Windows 8, and that is why I waited as long as I did to get a new machine... I thought this Windows 10 would be equally irritating, so I kept my vista machine as long as I could... Now with this Windows 10, I find Windows 10 has eliminated all the irritations of Windows 8... Do NOT be afraid of Windows 10, I slid right into it from my old Vista... I like it much better, it doesn't do a couple things, or I haven't figured out how, but nothing you can't do without... I like it better.. This Lenovo 510 with the i3 processor is noticeably quicker... click and poof, it's there... no more clicking 2 or 3 times because nothing happened. Start up is maybe a minute.. I hit the power button, then I have to hit the power on my screen and printer, pull out my keyboard shelf and I am already looking at the sign-in screen... Sign-in and go, no wait there either... shut down is the same... biff, bam, thank you mam... AND, it is just cool looking sitting there in a little corner on my desk taking up a whole lot less room than that old Gateway Tank of a Tower I had did sitting there... This thing is only about a foot square and 3 1/2 " wide... I took a little extra time hiding cords, and now I have a much neater looking desk, and a much more efficient machine... Very pleased (for a change)... I would highly recommend this Lenovo 510 with the i3 processor and have no fears of set-up or installing the Office program either....

Did a bunch of hunting and comparisons - the 6th generation i3 smokes my 3rd gen i7 laptop - will probably up the RAM to 8 but runs fine on 4. The external antenna for WIFI really made a difference - runs like I have it hard wired. 4 USB 3.0 and a 1 TB hard drive make it great for input and storage. A really good buy under $400.

Computer is average at best. For a core i3 it is slower than expected. I'm not sure if it's the hard drive or RAM. I will upgrade the RAM first to see if it becomes more responsive before doing a hard drive update to SSHD. If you are looking for a basic PC to surf the web or stream video online, it fits the bill for that.

Not sure if this is a Lenovo issue or not, but my 2 LCD TVs which I was using dual monitors on an older Dell pc is not working here. And since this desktop is so small, I am unsure if another video card will fit. Windows 10 will not recognize the 2nd monitor. Maybe a replacement video card will work? I don't want to return this PC as I like the specs and got it for a really good price. I already updated the Intel video drivers but still not showing. Please help!

terrible computer. takes 15 minutes to turn on and even be usable. can't have more than 2 or 3 tabs before slows down. i know the specs are low but this is unusable by any standards. late on the review but had it since 2017 and its been bad from the moment i started using it til the moment i stopped at the beginning of 2022.

RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX WAS SO SLOW AND UPDATED DRIVERS AND NO HELP. HARD DRIVE NOISE WAS LIKE A COFFEE POT. SOME VIDEO WOULD NOT COME UP OR ONLY PARTIAL AFTER A LONG TIME. TWICE THE COMPUTER AS MY OLD ONE AND HALF AS FAST. PUT DISK IN DVD AND WOULD NOT WORK AND E-MAIL WAS SLOW AND GRAPHICS SUCK IF IT DOES COME UP. BACK TO 7 YEAR OLD WINDOWS 7 COMPUTER IF I WANT TO DO COMPUTER WORK. ONLY ADDED E-MAIL AND NOTHING ELSE AS IT WOULD SLOW IT DOWN MORE. MY IPHONE 4S IS BETTER.
