Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I first ordered this computer, my thinking initially was that I was going to have to mod it with at the very least more RAM, and probably an SSD. While both would be nice, after using it for a few days, I don't think it needs either. Of course, I'm not doing hardcore gaming either. I would consider myself a power user, as I develop websites for a living, and for that purpose it's fine. I would not recommend Windows 10 though. It's too bloated and slow, so instead I'm running Linux. After installing a FHD monitor, and a backlit keyboard I would say the setup is near perfect. The product does not have speakers of any kind though. If you do go with this product, you will need to buy a pair before you will hear anything.

I purchased a lenovo that didn't quite work out for my needs. I returned it to best by and ordered an ASUS which was broken right out of the box. The best buy people were great. I thought they would get tired of me coming back with so many problems. I decided to by this computer and it has exceeded my expectations. This is one of the best computers that I have ever purchased. Hats of to the Fredericksburg, VA Bestbuy sales people who put up with me.

Posted .This is not a common issue with this model. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Finally, you may want to check your system for driver updates. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:

Finally, if the above does not help, try restoring the system back to original factory settings. With the device turned off, turn the system on hit the F2 key repeatedly before Windows starts up. This should take you to a screen that lets you select "Restore to factory settings" Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.

The specs on this beat out all the gaming computers in this price range, and in the price ranges above. Upgrading lenovo to grow with him is simple also. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this computer for just over 6 months now so I can comment on how it is working for us. I can say I am pleased with the purchase. Our previous Lenovo developed a disk problem after 5 years and we decided to replace rather than repair. This was super easy to setup, and worked well out of the box. I connected it to our HD monitor and it all worked smoothly. I was able to transfer our photos and files, and get everything working in no time. We are not gamers, so we don't need that functionality. Most of what we use it for is work (all web based), personal email, internet, YouTube, word processing and photo editing. Windows10 works reasonably well, but has some quirks, especially if you use IE like we do - I think that is more a function of the software than a hardware issue. IE sometimes hangs up. I found it very easy to get used to Windows10, but I do miss the Windows Live Photo Gallery program that was pre-loaded on our old machine. The new Photo program doesn't provided as much function, and editing our vacation photos is something that I do a lot.

I chose it for the size of the hard drive and the ram. so far the computer runs smooth and boots up quickly, and runs programs quickly and flawlessly. the windows 10 build is much faster than previous builds If you are looking for a bang for Your buck this is the one. Highly recommend this computer

One thing I Immediately noticed is that the video and picture quality isn't as good as my HP which has an i-5 Intel processor. The graphics card isn't all that on this machine, but if you're doing just browsing, surfing and moderate gaming this is your PC. This is my first PC with an AMD processor we will see how this goes. Overall, a good value, if you catch it on sale.
