Wonderful Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a laptop for our home based business. This laptop is great, and easy to use. It is slim so not heavy or bulky and the battery lasts a long time which is something that I need. I love it that it has a touchscreen, it makes things easier at times. It is a great laptop at a great price.

Good Computer, but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has taken a lot of learning since I jumped from a Dell that I had used for over 10 years with Windows XP to a Lenovo with Windows 10. Talk about culture shock! The hardware was totally different and so was the software. Can't blame you entirely for the trials I went through. I just wish I had gone a slightly different route. However, I am learning and growing as I gain more experience. I did find out from the Geek Squad (got a lot of respect for those guys!) that the upgrade from Windows 8.3 to Windows 10 done before I ever saw the computer was not done correctly. After they fixed that, a lot of things got easier. I still only have help on my computer for Windows 8.3. Oh, well...Live & Learn!

Its great until....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for school. So the good things: The screen is large which I appreciate, colors are good and vibrant and gets plenty bright with some finagling with the settings. There is some glare when watching Netflix, but nothing too bothersome. I love Lenovo keyboards. The keys don't feel too flat and provide some clicky feedback, if you like those kind of keyboards. I love the backlighting and the numeric pad. Speakers are average. Doesn't sound terrible but could be better, sometimes I will hear some blow out or hiss, but it usually doesn't last if I restart the laptop. And for the first several months it was great. Bad things: I began to notice that the trackpad was glitchy. Not accepting my clicks or clicking when I simply wanted to scroll up or down. Its not the worst problem, but it gets annoying. The hinges for the 2-in-1 feature, right from the beginning felt stiff and creaked so I was super afraid to use that feature. I would flip the laptop with such care in fear it would break. Eventually it did break and I can't use it in tablet mode. The screen wobbles while typing and I will see some screen tearing or green streaks. Backlight bleeding on the bottom left corner as well. I've had this laptop for a while, so by the time these problems became absolutely annoying, I couldn't return it. So I just live with the problems. I would like a laptop to last longer than two years. Oh, also my parents have the exact same laptop, and while their hinges aren't completely useless, I have noticed that they are quite stiff as well so they avoid tablet mode. But I believe my laptop has more problems then theirs.

Horrible choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After years of having Dells the salesperson convinced me to try Lenovo. Horrible choice! At least this model. It has very poor performance, very slow to respond, the mouse pad is also slow to respond even after tweaking the response setting and the keyboard would just stop working. I returned it and swapped it out for a Lenovo with an i7 processor and more memory. Lenovo gets one more chance. Hopefully this one will be better. I would absolutely NOT recommend this laptop.

Not So Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After just a couple years (out of warranty), one hinge cracked apart, power cord broke, could use more ports, and sound is low even when set at highest level.
