    Nice 2-in-1 with large screen

    Posted .

Before the pros and cons, I'll say that I'm definitely ultimately happy with my purchase! Cons: -Bigger dimensions than expected -- I was replacing a 15-inch laptop, and so I looked for 15-inch laptops, as I expected they would fit into the same bags etc. Because of the 2-in-I capability however, while the screen is the same size, the entire laptop is a bit larger. This is totally logical, and I'm sure this was reflected in the specific dimensions listed so I don't hold it against Lenovo or Best Buy, but I was just a bit surprised when I got it. -Disappointing battery life -- I'm no longer a student, so I mostly use my laptop now in the comfort of my own home which means it's no problem for my current use, but the battery life is definitely worse than I was hoping for. That's what docks the star for me. Pros: -Overall smooth usage, convenient 2-in-1 capabilities -- I hesitated a bit at first to buy a 2-in-1, as I'd be using it primarily as a laptop and I didn't want the dual-functionality to negatively affect the actual laptop functionality, but I've been happy with its performance! I mainly use it for simple things, your average web browsing, word processing, Netflix watching, and a few other things, so it's worked just fine for me. In terms of how it is as a 2-in-1, it doesn't flip 360 degrees, but to the standing (tent-like) position only. At first I was a little bummed about this, but it's ended up being just fine. Due to the size/weight of the laptop, it would be a bit too large and cumbersome to be comfortable toting around in one hand anyway. I did notice that when switching between modes, the sound function seems to change (maybe the speakers switch? something along those lines), and just once I had a problem with that where it seemed to not make up its mind and go back and forth between sound modes on its own. It hasn't happened since though, so I figure it was just a fluke glitch. -2-in1 WITH a DVD-drive -- One of my must-haves when looking for a laptop was to have a CD/DVD-drive. Even if I don't use it all the time, it feels uncomfortable to me not to even have it as an option. So, I was extremely pleased when I found this laptop, which not only had a DVD-drive, but was also a 2-in-1! The 2-in-1 capabilities became just a perk at that point, but it was a big enough perk to convince me to get this laptop, as it was the only one I found in my price range which had both.

    Great Laptop

The laptop works very well with the touch screen that can fold all the way back. It has Windows 10 which has taken some getting use to as it is different. Right now the mouse has disappeared but the touch screen works but other than that it has been great.

I bought this computer for my kids to due homework assignments and it has worked fine since we got it. It is a bit heavy, what can be expected from a 15.6" screen one. We have bought a second one, exactly the same, but they came in two different boxes. The second one came in an open box, and the mouse pad was loose, so we needed to return it and exchange it for a different one since the Lenovo one was not carried in the stores.

    keyboard difficult to use

    Posted .

The keyboard is really bad. You must literally pound the keys to get them to register, especially the space bar. The right and left mousepad buttons are extremely stiff. You can tap them for single-tap stuff, but when you need to click and drag, you've really got to apply extreme pressure. My fingers are literally sore after using it for a couple hours tonight, and I have been using computers for a couple decades. I am trying the touchscreen, but you just need a keyboard for some things, like typing... If you like to use keyboards, look for something else.

    Horrible quality

    Posted .

I've had this computer for just over a year. After around 3 months of normal-to-light use it started messing up and falling apart. Sometimes the keyboard and mouse stop working completely and you have to rely on the touch screen, sometimes it's just the mouse. It's coming apart (I handle it nicely and haven't dropped it before). The lid is splitting in two; if it's open and you look at it from above, you can see the inside of the screen. The most recent problem I have encountered is that the battery now lasts less than 2 hours, even with the energy saving mode on and screen brightness as low as I can handle it without having to put my face up against the screen. This computer seems like a great deal at first, but even if you treat it great like I did, it's going to be useless before you've had it a year.

I ordered it online and I had to returned it in store because the caps lock came out as soon as I took it out of the box.
