Just What I Was Looking For!

After reading reviews and consulting with my Geek Squad, I decided that this Lenovo Ideapad is what I needed. It's everything and more! Speedy, graphics are beautiful, tons of memory, great apps! Lenovo makes a great well-constructed product! Thank you!

Good machine, but slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Lenovo before and have been happy. The new machine works fine, but for a couple of issues. One is that the right hand shift key is too small, resulting in frequent use of the page up key instead. Second issue is that this model is quite slow and I wish the sales person had better understood both my use and the performance of this model.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Flex 4-14. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Performance is Just O.K.

The sales person & I discussed my needs at some length, but in the end, the processing spead of this computer is slower than what I would like.

Great display , average performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: 1)Excellent display 2)Looks well built and sturdy Cons: 1) At $729.99 this is way too expensive for what it offers. This is a product which is a good buy ~500 bucks 2) Average performance 3) speakers are terrible. Its advertised as harmon & kardon but it does not come close to what H&K is. The speakers are located at the bottom which is a stupid design as it is just common sense that sound will be obstructed as a laptop always sits on a surface. Overall a very average laptop which is advertised as a great one and hefty price tag.

It was still under warranty so I sent it out and it was gone for 3 weeks under repair, then I was told I was eligible for a replacement so I ordered the same laptop. The new one was delivered and it did not let me set anything up and told me that Windows could not be installed. Lenovo tech support was not helpful and ended up returning the new one and buying a completely different type of laptop.
