I like this Chromebook Plus a lot. This is my first Chromebook, so I can't compare how well the Chromebook Plus performs vs Chromebooks. Pros: It boots up quickly and has nice features. The keys are backlit and feel good when typing on them. I appreciate the touchscreen and ability to turn it into a tablet when needed. The laptop is easy to set up and use. So far I have been able to use the laptop heavily for maybe 4 to 5 hours until needing to charge it. Cons: When opening the laptop the bottom of the screen bumps against the table. I've seen other laptops do this too. The Lenovo 7i laptops and newer are much smoother and don't do this. Another point is that sometimes the touchpad goes awry and seems like it's lagging. I like to browse with many tabs open, so I usually restart and make sure I don't have too many things (especially more demanding websites) open to resolve this.

I purchased two Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebooks for my sons for school, and I’m extremely happy with the decision. The 14” 2K touch display is bright and clear, the performance is fast and smooth, and the battery lasts through the entire school day. The build quality feels solid, and the keyboard is very comfortable for typing. Both kids use them daily for homework, Zoom classes, and browsing, and everything runs flawlessly. Great value for the price. Highly recommend!

High-quality Chromebook that is closer to a Macbook than you would think. Given chrome is so light weight that the increased memory and processing power is amplified. It is very fast, the display is sharp and bright, and to be honest the keyboard has better feel than our Macbook. Plus a year of Gemini and online storage for free to boot. Buy it, this thing punches above its weight. It is a little heavy, but quality can come with a weight penalty.

I love this laptop however there are some software/applications not compatible with Chromebook so beware if purchasing and hoping to use with a certain software/application it might not be compatible. Also I have experienced internet connectivity issues which other laptop users have not. Similarly the connectivity to printers using WiFi has been shoddy and I have to restart my computer and the printer using specific steps to connect again. Other than that it's pretty great and user friendly for simple everyday work.

I was buying a laptop to replace my previous laptop that had broken hinges after a couple of years of use. I figured I would buy from a solid brand like Lenovo and spend a little more on better specs like an Ultra Chromebook. I was pretty happy with my purchase. It was pretty snappy on programs even playing some games like Roblox. Sound was good from the speakers as well. Then within mere months of use the hinges started for crack and within days the hinges actually came off of the screen damaging it in the process. It’s because of the design of the hinges had tiny metal screws going in to cheap plastic. It’s a terrible design but it’s clear to me that it was designed this way on purpose so that it would break. Let me be clear I had babied the screen too. Rarely opening and closing it. But you can see how poorly designed it is in the picture. Worse yet when I contacted Lenovo they REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. They said they do not cover physical defects. But this goes against their own warranty policy that states that they cover defects in material and workmanship. Clearly this is a defect in the material if it just crumbles through normal use. When I went to look for my box to find the serial number I had found my old Chromebook that I had to replace with broken hinges. Guess what brand it was? Yeah. And go ahead and Google Lenovo hinge issues and you will see this is a very common issue with them. It’s a known issue dating back years now and they refuse to fix it or honor their warranty. I’m never buying another Lenovo product again.

Purchased this in November 2023, opened it Christmas Day 2023. Used it very lightly until the hinge broke in September 2024. Best Buy says it's not covered and wouldn't be worth it to fix. I called a local repair place and he said the same. Moreover, he said the hinge issue is VERY COMMON with this design. Most people tend to open the Chromebook from the corner which puts stress on the hinges and they will break. The cost to fix (upwards of $300) requires a new screen so it's obviously not worth the repair. He said to avoid this issue, open your Chromebook VERY CAREFULLY from the EXACT CENTER. Otherwise, you're vulnerable to this very common problem. I'm sad because now this is just another piece of hardware to toss in the landfill. Also, I was pretty happy with the Chromebook itself...had no complaints, really, until this happened. But the hinge design makes this a really poor purchase and I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

Absolutely love my Lenovo Chromebook. I just retired and had to turn in my work computer. I looked at a lot of different brands, talked to a lot of people and the Lenovo Flex Chromebook was the perfect purchase for me. Easy to set up & has a home at my kitchen table!

This Chromebook is really great. It has enough power to do all of the writing, browsing, and light gaming that I need to do. And it looks and feels great to use. I usually like the chromebooks without any fans for cooling, but I like the better performance that this Chromebook offers. You can see the vents on the bottom in my photos. Also, you can run Google play apps and Steam on this Chromebook. This opens up a lot more possibilities for productivity and gaming. Battery life is average, but that's only one of the few complaints that I have.

I goofed not making sure it was a windows device, and the keypad doesn't always work right in all the spots. That bottom corner didn't work for a minute, then it did, but the right clicker really doesn't. Despite that it's still a fantastic product I'm happy with and don't regret buying! Cool thing, you can flip it like a tablet and it's fully touch screen all the time!

This device is excellent for the price. The display is great, processor has ample headroom for chromeos, speakers are better than any other chromebook, build quality is solid for the price. I have no complaints. I would point out how nice it is both sides of the device have a usb c port which support charging. Not a necessity butthoughtful inclusion.

Purchased as an "around-the-house" computer, and it fits my needs perfectly. Runs pretty fast for the things I need: spreadsheets, email, online browsing, and some video watching. For the price, it's a solid everyday computer.

Best buy ewfused to repair my loose screen while it was still under warranty!! hinge defects in their Flex and Yoga series laptops. The lawsuit alleges that Lenovo sold these laptops with a defective hinge system, causing the screens to flicker, freeze, or black out. Furthermore, it claims Lenovo was aware of the defect but failed to disclose it to consumers. Is the best computer i ever got it so comfortable.

The hinge broke after four months of light use. It was never dropped or abused. The screen is separating at the hinge and we can't open or close it without risk of breaking it further. Lenovo will not cover under warranty and is forcing us to buy an upgraded warranty before they will fix it. Waste of hundreds of dollars

Bought in 2023, worked fine, but now the right hinge has an issue that is causing the molding to pop out, looks like its a common issue with this model.

I usually love Lenovo products. I had my previous Lenovo Chromebook for about 5 years, We saved up some money and decided it was time for a new one. I settled on this one, a little pricey, but worth it for me. I normally just surf the web and pay my bills. Nothing to crazy. Well the first issue arose about 2 months in. I kept hearing a crack noise when I opened and closed it. Only to discover (like a few other reviews) the screen corner was popped out. I contacted Lenovo because my laptop has a warrently through them, for them to basically tell me it was not a defect in the product but something I had done and was not covered through them. Ohkay cool a BRAND NEW expensive laptop now needs to go get fixed. Then today for me to just be typing out a message and one of the keys just pop off. This is the worst product. I wish I could return it. Once I save up some extra money I'll just be getting a different brand. Because not only can I not close my laptop in fear of the screen breaking or cracking I am now having issues with the keys.

The plastic hinge broke. Lenovo says it is not covered under warranty. Otherwise, this is a good laptop. I suspect that the plastic hinge will keep breaking.

Love the Chromebook. It’s been awhile since I had a new laptop and this has been so easy to use. I love the touch screen also. I am not too tech savvy but I love it.
