It took a couple of hours to install updates the first time I turned it on. It's a great cheap computer for basic use. All my grandfather does it browse the Web, play solitaire, check his emails and go on facebook lol. Great value for price

You pick the time to allow the update. This will also give you an opportunity to create a restore point on your device.
