Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the ideacentre 300S's price, ease of use, performance, and compact size, finding it suitable for basic computing tasks. However, customers are negative about the motherboard, RAM, and hard drive reliability, with some experiencing failures shortly after purchase. The small form factor is a plus for many, but some users felt the included RAM and storage were insufficient. Issues with the cooling fan were also reported by a few users.

I bought this to handle pretty easy tasks. It lasted barely over a day before the hard drive died. I'm pretty tech savy, and knew it wasnt worth my time. I would just avoid it all together.

Bought for my parents after reading the reviews. It literally stopped working aft 2 mo. Best Buy will accept for return or exchange and Lenovo will not stand by its product. Have bought every TV, computer, phone at Best Buy. Will never shop here again.

Since the system was working for 2 months before the failure, it sounds as though there was a Windows 10 update that is conflicting with drivers that run your system. This system is equipped with Lenovo OneKey Recovery System. If the system will turn on the F2 Key will open the OneKey Recovery software. Here you can restore to factory default settings. You will need to reinstall your programs as you will be back to the original, "Out-Of-Box" configuration. Here is a link to the OneKey Recovery steps to follow. You may also want to turn off automatic Windows 10 updates once you have restored the system back to original factory settings. That way you will get an alert when there is a Windows 10 update for your system and you can create a restore point on your system before you allow the update. Here is the link to OneKey Recovery:

I had it for 2-1/2 months and it crashed and had to be replaced under warranty (for another brand). That should speak for itself.
