After my old HP laptop died and after I had gotten a brand new Toshiba computer with a faulty battery, I took this one home with high hopes and it didn't disappoint. I actually didn't even know it had a touch screen until I was setting it up at home and accidentally clicked on something. Though windows 8 can be a bit confusing at first, it didn't take long to get used to. Overall my experience with this laptop has been great over the past month. I often use video and image editors such as photoshop and premiere, and this computer handles both programs with ease. Using the internet and also streaming programs such as Netflix has also been a breeze. The only hiccups were sometimes my computer will randomly disconnect from the internet although this is easily solved by switching the computer into airplane mode for a few seconds and the switching the wifi back on and that my touchpad randomly stopped working. However, Geek Squad uninstalled the driver and after rebooting the computer, the touchpad was functional again.

I bought this laptop brand new in the spring of 2013. Since I have had it, I have been extremely pleased. I have used this laptop at home, school, and work. Its pretty fast and the back-lit keyboard is awesome. Other users tell of a connectivity problem, but in all the different places I have used this laptop, I have encountered none. We have all heard how bad windows 8 and I also feel it is a downgrade from windows 7 but honestly, its only a matter of getting used to it. The touch screen can act up sometimes when connected to power and bat life is kind of short. Other than that, this laptop is amazing.

NEVER BUY LENOVO - HORRIBLE COMPUTER & SERVICE

Computer never worked well to start with.
Now it does not even boot. Called customer service (still under warranty) and I'm being told I have to pay $89 to have it serviced.
Turns out to be a hardware issue. Again, computer is under warranty. Completely disappointing.
WARNING: DO NOT BUY LENOVO COMPUTERS.

I purchased this laptop in March of 2013. I switched it out a couple of weeks later because it could not stay on the internet. The Geek squad did every update available for every aspect of the machine. They finally switched out the laptop thinking it was a hardware issue instead of a software issue. It kept coming up with "network adapter error" and "Wi-Fi error" . The second machine did not last very long. I am not sure if the internet thing was a problem because the touch screen did not work from the beginning. The third laptop has worked pretty good although it seems so much slower than the first one. Geek squad has optimized it and performed every update and modification to both help speed it up and to stop the continuous interruptions with the internet. I have one other laptop, an ipad and a desktop computer in my house, none of them have any connectivity issues even though they are all wireless. Sitting side by side when I do a speed test with the Lenovo and the toshiba, I get a download speed of 3-4 on the Lenovo and 35 - 40 on the Toshiba laptop. I have internet speeds up to 50 with my service. I cannot go more than 15 minutes without having to reset my network adapter or wifi adapter on the Lenovo. I am taking it back in this week to switch out for another brand laptop. Even with a two year Geek squad service agreement, they have not been able to help me with this machine.
