    The Lenovo ideapad 330 suits the purpose to which I need for general use. I didn't want all the bells and whistles, but did want these features: 10-key, number lock and caps keys to have a light to signal they were/weren't on, 2 USB ports, 1 HDMI port, CD/DVD player, and it was at the lower end of the price spectrum to fit my budget.
