Best Buy had the best prices and the fastest delivery for our needs. They were easy to do business with and we had our laptops 4 days after placing our order. Last year we went to our local Best Buy stores for our latest 65" UHD Samsung Smart TV which was delivered within days of ordering. We have found Best Buy to prompt in their deliveries and well versed in products that they have in their stores. Very pleased with Best Buys attention to detail and willingness to be helpful and informative. EJ Rifkin

Couldn't use the device for more than one hour without charging it. The second one can't use the device for more than 3 hours without charging it. I really don't see how this PC has a battery life of eight hours. Not really happy with the Lenovo, the only pros is the screen size and the ten key. Yes, the PC is set up to be on battery saver mode, and the screen is dim.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17 Laptop, model number 81W2004AUS, ships with a 3CELL_42WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 8 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. Be sure you have not selected Battery Conservation Mode instead of Battery Saver Mode or have selected both options. If you are getting substantially less battery life, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

Good value for price

While the graphics aren't the best (because it's a laptop) for the price I think it's amazing. I have played both world of warcraft and overwatch on it and they run, albeit on lower graphics settings (WoW recommended setting 1 but I run it on 2 just fine).

It seems that it's harder to find laptops that contain actually HDDs anymore. This unit has both a SSD and HDD and fit my needs perfectly. I would have preferred this in a 15", but this unit was in stock when I ordered it and only $50 more so this was a great value!

I made this purchase in hopes of getting a faster laptop for my son to attend class at home. It has more than lived up to my expectations. The screen is huge and it is very fast. So far so good especially considering it was an out of the box purchase.

Great value for a 17”, only weighs 4 lbs, and with the ssd drive, very responsive. The screen has a limited high clarity viewing angle, but all the other qualities make up for this issue. The Ryzen 7 processor is great, most laptops with this performance cost double.

Keyboard Too Small

Way too awkward to type. It's hard to understand why they would make the keyboard so small and far up the edge. Your wrists get tired. It does not sit comfortably on your lap. This is really really bad engineering. Inconceivable why they would do that. There's plenty of space for them to do a better job with the keyboard but they didn't. The laptop is also way too noisy. Returned it after 3 days. It's fast and has nice features but these two reasons were bad enough for me to return it after 3 days. Can't stress enough how bad the keyboard is.

There is a substantial wrist rest to help prevent wrist fatigue while typing. You can use Lenovo Q-Control to manually control fan performance: ( Fn + Q ) option to change the fan. There are settings for Quiet Mode, Normal and performance mode.

It has been all I had hoped it would be. Nice size screen makes it easy to read as it can be more difficult with smaller laptops. Happy that I made the right choice.

Got it for a teenager. Lots of games and art design happening on it. Haven’t had to upgrade anything yet but it has the capability to be upgraded so when the time comes it will be easy to do.

Lasted 1 month and had issues. Only to find out it had 2mb of RAM and 32gb storage! I was told I’d need a “basic” computer for school I didn’t mess around. Very happy with my purchase

This model has plenty of features to do what most people are going to use a Laptop for, Email, search, photo etc. If you want a DVD, CD player purchase an external one to go with this and make great package !!

Unfortunately, it has a low resolution, less than 1080p, which doesn't look so good on a 17" screen.
