Kind of difficult if you have small hands. The delete and num lock keys are so close together that it is easy to hit num lock when you meant to delete. Other than that, really nice size screen and good value for the cost.

I learned what Windows 10 in S mode is, and was a bit disappointed that they're essentially selling watered down versions of Windows that are little more than Microsoft brand chromebooks...

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Ideapad 3 17 Laptop for your parents. This model ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.

It's a solid piece of gear. Lenovo's interface is user-friendly, the screen has great clarity, and the keyboard is responsive. I enjoy using this, and the AMD Ryzen 7 performs great. I highly recommend this system if you're looking for a solid, steady and loyal machine for work, school, etc.

I also installed Linux 20 cinnamon for a dual boot operating system because there is a lot I don't like about microsoft but it's good to be able to use both on the same laptop. I like this computer, and it's the first Lenovo I've owned.

Nice large screen, but not as fast as I expected.

It's possible that this was due to being an open-box item which may be why it was returned by the original purchaser. Nice large screen and easy to see, but with 12GB of RAM I expected this laptop to be screaming fast.
