I needed a new laptop for home and work. After spending weeks looking around, this was the one I decided on. It has all the features I wanted and was a great price (especially if you can get it on sale like I did). It goes from powered off to ready to go in only a few seconds. Even with only 8GB RAM, with the 512GB SSD drive, it's pretty fast while running games, or editing photos and video. I love the backlit keyboard. It's well lit without being overly bright and distracting. However, to get a great computer for a low price, there are some negatives. The shell is plastic and feels a little flimsy. It picks up finger prints really easy and I would be scared to see what would happen if it got dropped. The screen is my biggest complaint at only 60hz, not 120hz so you are not going to get a high frame rate while playing games, but it is acceptable for the price range. The screen is also not extremely bright, crisp or colorful. But it is satisfactory. It has several USB ports and a USB-C port which is great, but I needed to purchase an expansion because it just wasn't enough. If you're looking for a great home/work computer that can do some heavy lifting in the photo/video are and play most games well, this is a great option.

Between this one and the Nitro 5 (amd model), I'd say this one. For one thing, for the price, twice the SSD storage. All other specs are comparable except for one thing. That is, you cannot upgrade the SSD (and RAM) like you can with the Nitro. That's not a killer though especially for the price. GTX graphics card is decent. Lighted keyboard is ok (wish it was red like the Nitro) and cannot be changed. BTW the naming convention has changed. This laptop, while still a 2021 model, was called out as 3i(?). It is not. There is a newer "3i" that has an amd processor and is upgradeable. Get that one. This one is now called just the "3" model. I guess it was just changed and these laptops were already shipped out with the 3i label. Overall, a great starter gaming laptop.

The specs on this laptop are pretty good for its price. Fans aren't loud (which is a good thing). This laptop is a pretty decent gaming laptop (also has windows 11). Although some of the problems I've found with this laptop is that it glitches out and I can't type or do much when it's in that state, and sometimes it holds down the spacebar when I'm trying to type even though I'm not touching the spacebar. Overall, its a pretty good laptop.

I purchased this as open-box and got a fantastic deal on it. I will say though that Best Buy literally shipped this with no foam floaters holding the laptop in place inside its original manufacture's box. Now they at least put that box inside of a shipping box and they put bubble wrap (on just one side) inside the shipping box. This might've softened the blows a little during shipping, but one side of the box literally had no kind of protection at all. The item was listed as "open-box excellent" so it was supposed to look brand new. And it did. All except for scuff marks on the top of the lid, which i can only imagine was from the laptop just rattling around inside the manufacturer box with no foam floaters. With that all said, I'm not going to hold that against the product itself. That's a Best Buy BAD, not a Lenovo laptop BAD. The laptop still worked perfectly, thank God. But as far as a gaming laptop with a gtx 1650, i guess i just wanted a little more. And all i had to spend was a little more to get a rtx 3050 on a Victus laptop by HP. Now don't get me wrong, this laptop did everything it should. I just realized for literally a few dollars more (because these were both on sale, and a victus open-box also just happened to become available for just $15 more), i could go up to an rtx 3050. And oh boy, it's night and day difference. The 1650 had to run games on 1080p with medium/low settings combo to achieve 60fps consistently. It looked.... fine. But for $15 more, the rtx 3050 could do 1080p high and easily still hit 60+fps. The game in most recent memory that i kept testing on both machines was Gears 5. If the victus hasn't been on sale, i think i would've been just fine with the 1650 on the Lenovo Gaming laptop. But even worth both laptops at full price, the Victus is $120 more expensive, but in my opinion, that's well worth it for the boost in graphical fidelity and fps. Still thought the Lenovo was quality though, so still gets 5 stars, but Lenovo needs to price it just a little more aggressively. Plenty of people would probably take the sacrifice in fidelity if they were saving $200 or more, not to mention the Core i5 in this one is weaker and lesser cores than the i5 in the Victus.

I only play one video game, ESO, and this laptop was perfect for me. I wasn't looking for a world beating gamer and I found it for sure. Understated design, good processor and decent entry level GPU, it ticked all the boxes I had. I upgraded the memory (Single channel isn't as big a deal for Intel, but it's a gaming unit Lenovo, don't build one that hinders performance out of the box!!!). Good screen, good touchpad, and Windows 11 round out a nice, less expensive package. I'm glad I got it.

I bought it for my best friend for Christmas so that she can play Final Fantasy 14 and other games such as the Sims. She said it runs smoothly and that her boyfriend's $3000 desktop computer can't even run the game. That's what I love to hear!

I ordered this nifty gaming laptop. I saw the price and it was fairly low, so I continued to read the specs on the laptop and it had everything I needed in a gaming computer. The Lenovo - ideaPad Gaming 3i 15" is probably one of the best deals around if you are looking for a gaming laptop that dependable, has a really big screen, a nice touch to the keys on the keyboard, and great graphics. This gaming laptop has surprised me with its impromptu response to any game I play. If you want a big time gaming computer for an affordable price the Lenovo - ideaPad is the one for you!

I did a bit of research about this before I purchased, to see what upgrades I could do. I purchased a m.2 SSD for extra storage, but there is no way to mount it in the laptop, even though it claims a m.2 2280 drive is supported. The connector is there, but no hardware is available to mount it. Simply nothing to attach it to, and it uses a non-standard threaded hole, so buying a stand off didn't work. They do include the hardware to mount a much slower 2.5" SATA drive. Very disappointed in the claim of supporting the extra storage without dropping a nickles worth of hardware in the package. Other than that, this has been a decent machine. You should probably upgrade the single channel RAM to dual channel though.

This gaming computer had entry level pricing, good performance in high graphic games and smooth performance. Only thing is battery at 3-cell it would run one hour at full gaming capacity as graphic cards are energy demanding. Anyway I loved it.
