OK, this is the second computer that I purchased in on the specs. It does not specify that the camera does not work for the signing option because of a lack of IR. I wish it said that. I do use the camera for password protection for several things. The green touch works fine. It does not overheat. The fan is not loud at all. It does not slow down. Battery can last quite a bit. There’s really no issues with this one, except the screen can look slightly foggy because of the matte screen, and that it’s not too bright. So if you like really bright screens, this is definitely not for you. My big issue is with the camera, there are some software i use that require face recognition, and it just does not work. Please specify this on the specs!!!

i mainly use my computer for web browsing and light gaming (the sims and stardew valley) and this works perfectly for me. i haven't had any issues running sims 4 with a couple expansion packs and light mods (other than running a little hot after a while). i have mainly used the laptop plugged in but the few times i have used it unplugged it lasted about what i would expect for a laptop at this price point - about 6-7 of moderate use, obviously less if you're playing games.

This laptop is perfect for my needs. Speed is great, screen is sharp and clear. It is easy to use. I am retired and like playing an occasional game on it. I have also made birthday cards with it. I did a lot of research before purchasing this laptop and it is exactly what i wanted and needed.

The Lenovo idea pad with the touchscreen is ideal for my work and personal use. In his light, fully functional and perfect.

I purchased this laptop to upgrade my existing computer and the performance is highly better. I was looking for speed, graphics performance, and reliability and this computer helped me to achieve a great result while designing ad flyers and web pages. Definitely a 5 star review

It's perfect for my needs -- which aren't much! Writing, dealing with my website, some graphic design stuff (lowkey regular consumer type stuff, not professional!). The laptop is compact, but doesn't feel cramped, reliable, functional -- all the stuff.

This laptop is amazing. I was honestly a bit skeptical because I have been brought up that the more it has, the more that can break. As that is still true, the touch screen is smooth and works great. I don't have anything to compare to it though. I love the memory and the medium sized screen. The entire computer itself hasn't ceased to amaze me.

As far as my in-store service at the store in Dover Delaware, the associate Sal, was very good. I spent a good half hour 45 minutes talking to him about various laptops and what I wanted to do and what I would need to do it well. I can't say enough good things about him. Additionally, I had accrued quite a few points, and was able to redeem them all in the purchase of this laptop which was a real good Plus. The staff also showed me how I could earn more points for future purchases, without spending more money. As far as the laptop itself, this is quite a upgrade from the small 3-year-old Chromebook I had been using. Touch screen is quite nice, the laptop starts quickly, and the process of moving everything from both my PC and my Chromebook was straightforward and relatively easy. I pretty much use this in it home office type setting, word processing, some Excel work, and I'm going to start using it for photo editing. Nothing too serious. All in all the experience was a 10, and so far the laptop is a 10 also.

This item was priced well by Best Buy. It allows for basic uses for a laptop with good speed. The laptop is easy to use. My favorite part is the Geek Squad availability. Best Buy is my go to store for electronics and the Geek Squad is part of that decision.

This is my first time buying a Lenovo laptop. I’ve always had dells for the past 23 year but I like this one for the most part. Only big issue I’ve had was getting some sort of a “PSP found PSP NVRAM exists but not healthy. PSP requiring to clear PSP NVRAM” message when I tried to download some initial BIOS updates from the Lenovo site. Apparently it has something to do with the encryption on the computer which I turned off and haven’t had the issue since. Other than that, no issues. I do wish I had the ability to replace the battery when it gets old. Every laptop I’ve owned I’ve had to do that so I’m not sure what I’ll do when this battery goes bad in a few years. I also wish I had access to the ram in case that ever goes bad so that I can replace that too.

This laptop is the ideal laptop for photo editing. I love its slim design. The laptop is sleek and lightweight. It can run light games but nothing AAA. This is definitely for productivity and creativity.

Pretty simple and fast. Not bogged down with excess bloat. Battery life is reasonable.

Computer works great I haven’t used it for gaming just internet browsing. I tried uploading photos to the computer from my iPhone this turned into an impossible task! Never got my photos loaded downloaded 3 different apps to upload photos and none of them worked! I have 16 thousand photos in my phone it instantly filled the storage and I had to delete everything. That was my only issue probably operator error I’m sure.

When on sale, this laptop is 4/5! Otherwise, I'd say 3/5. TLDR: this is a good laptop if on sale and if the intent of the laptop is mainly for a lot of writing and streaming. Although I have not used it for high-demand apps or gaming, part of me is skeptical this laptop could manage or make that enjoyable due to the lowered screen brightness and durability. Positives: This Lenovo laptop is lightweight and speedy, and it does everything I need as a fulltime English major and as a person who uses streaming and movies as their preferred entertainment. I'm able to have multiple tabs and apps open without issue, which is great for research and multi-tasking. For example, I was recently writing a paper and had three instances of Chrome with over ten tabs each, four instances of Microsoft Word, one instance of Adobe Acrobat with six tabs, and iTunes open simultaneously, all with minimal delay! I have used this laptop almost daily for about three months, and usually I can work on this laptop for six to twelve hours on a single charge. The charging cable is long, and so far I've had no issues with overheating or stress points. There are also plenty of ports for USBs, mice, external disk drives, etc., and I've not had an issue with connectivity with any! As this is a school laptop, I have not used it for any games or high-demand apps, so I am unsure how they would handle on this device. Negatives: Luckily, I got this on sale for around $350, but I think that should have been its original price point - not $800 - especially when taking into consideration brightness, keyboard, and durability for other laptops at a similar price point. The brightness on this laptop seems to be lacking compared to other laptops I have used and/or owned. For example, this laptop needs to be at 40% brightness to match the 20% brightness of my other two laptops, which is a substantial difference. These other laptops were at a similar price point to this Lenovo. Additionally, the keyboard is not backlit, which should honestly be a standard feature in laptops at this point. Again, my previous two laptops had backlit keyboards and were at a similar price point to this Lenovo. Lastly, reduced weight does not have to mean reduced durability, but this Lenovo somewhat crosses that line. For example, this laptop is prone to twisting if not opened directly in the center of the lid tab, and this twisting can damage both the screen and the hinges. Moreover, the frame of the keyboard seems to depress if you do anything but barely brush the keys while typing, which is a bit of a learning curve if you are used to deeper keys like I am.

Still getting used to a laptop, but it has worked great for everything I have done so far. Nice to be able to move around instead of sitting next to a desk top for a long time.
