Bought a laptop, they sent it with OnTrac, and I was home all day waiting for the package, but no one rang the bell. I kept checking on the tracking and it said out for delivery, so I kept waiting, until midnight it still shows out for delivery, so I waited until the next day, still nothing came. I contacted customer service, they told me it was delivered yesterday and showed me a picture of the package sitting wide open on my patio stairs, go figure. 2 months later, the tracking on the site still shows out for delivery. They refused to refund, but also canceled the subscription stuff that came with the laptop, like what? Nothing I can do. Shame business, don't buy from them ever again!

    Blue Screens Galore

Yeeeeah be careful with this one. I bought this 3~ months ago when it was on sale for $800 + $50 for tax, and am now starting to wonder if this issue is why it was so low. The laptop keeps restarting at random for no reason with a blue screen which has the stop code ‘KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE’. I’ve done every scan and fix I could find and everything has come back clean despite the issue persisting, and no one that I’ve taken it to has ANY idea on what is going on. I am now trying to get it resolved but it’s been a headache for about two weeks now, and in order to get everything fixed it’s likely I’m going to have to spend even more money. Essentially, consider other options for laptops is what I’m saying. I’m especially upset because I’ve treated this machine like my baby, watching the temperature, keeping foodstuff away from it, overall just being gentle with the thing. If you do buy, save your work/game like every 5 minutes in case this happens to you.

900 for this laptop was a steal. I spent 80 upgrading the ram to 32 gig and put a 2 tb stick in the extra slot giving me 2.5 tb total with 32 gig of ram. 80 wh battery, rtx 4060, ryzen 7640hs, this thing way surpassed where I thought the performance would be, and doesn’t get nearly as hot or loud as my previous g14. I threw about 15 modern AAA games at it all work perfect max settings at the 1200 p, and Dlss got me to 144hz more often than not. Like many I was stuck between this and the oled, the sale price tho was too much to pass up. Now 2 days later the oled is on sale for 1000 and this one is back to the original price of 1350, so that may be the better buy right now. I have no complaints of this screen. Vrr, gsync, plenty bright (despite the “300 bit spec”) colors look great. Definitely serviceable. I’m sure when placed directly next to an oled laptop it may show inferiority, but other wise I wouldn’t knock a point off for the display. For the price, power, quality, and overall package, it’s a 5 star product. And I think the 4060 is the perfect gpu for mobile as going higher may not be worth the heat and power consumption trade offs. This laptop is useable on battery with the 4060, but I would opt for the igpu (760m in my case) which will use much less power and should be enough on lower settings at lower resolutions for most games

Does E-sports gaming well, and runs productivity amazingly well. Just need to upgrade the ram and the SSD and you've got a machine that should let you run through the paces for a few years. Battery life is mid. Screen is good. And runs a good gaming experience at medium real well.

This is an awesome computer! I was able to put Two 1GB SSDs NVME 4x4 7k R/W for cheap, replaced the two 5600mhz 8GB RAM with 2 x 16GB RAM 4800MHZ CL 32, Low-Latency RAM, and this baby plays all the games I throw at it, on ultra settings at around 60FPS. Alan Wake II runs at 1080p, Ultra Quality at 60+ FPS, the RTX-4060 with the DLSS is really amazing. I strapped heatsinks to all the SSDs and RAM and this laptop is super quiet, when you turn on the Turbo Feature the fans definitely start up, but they are minimal compared to some laptops that sound like they are about to take off from the runway. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone! I also converted it over from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro.

Moreover, the Legion 5's impressive array of ports, including the versatile USB-C, the versatile HDMI, and the reliable Ethernet, ensures seamless connectivity, satisfying even the most discerning user's needs. Of course, a commendable gaming laptop must be equipped with an effective cooling system, and the Lenovo Legion 5 certainly delivers on this front. Employing an advanced cooling mechanism, this brilliant laptop dissipates heat with exceptional efficiency, safeguarding the internal components from overheating during intense gaming marathons. This ensures that performance remains at its peak, undeterred by the malicious tendrils of overheating, cementing the Legion 5's status as a reliable companion for long gaming sessions. Amazing laptop, comfy keyboard, and low fan noise. Setup was a bit lengthy but that's a Win 11 issue. I love the beautiful design, fingerprint-resistant finish, and vivid screen. RAM is easy to upgrade and RTX 4060 is the sweet spot for gaming today if you don't have the money to splurge on an expensive gaming laptop. You won't find many good gaming laptops on the market at this price point. The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is one of the best gaming laptops you can get at this price. Totally worth the money.

This laptop is extremely powerful and pretty portable. I am using this for my school laptop and play games on it in my free time. The build quality is very good and it is very durable. The cooling on this laptop is great but can be loud sometimes while running heavy programs (which doesn't bother me) however there is a quiet mode if it gets too loud for you. Overall this is my favorite gaming laptop I have used so far.

Excellent product for the price. Specs, design, materials on mid level, but price on low level! Work good for students and office tasks. Not bad display for coding/text editing. Pros: Quality build, minimal bloatware Cons: buggy firmware Quality Build: This machine overall has great physical features that I personally look for in a powerful, gaming-oriented build. The exterior feels solid, the bezel for the screen is thin, and the WUXGA panel has very low reflectivity making it nice to use while I am in bed next to my lamp. Additionally, the speakers provide great sound without feeling like they are being muffled sitting on surfaces or my lap, and visually I am not a fan of the "gamer" style that a lot of the late 2010's machines fell victim to. This laptop looks very sleek and professional with the "Storm Grey" color pallette. Hopefully more manufacturers start to scale back their RGB/intense color scheming craze. Minimal Bloatware: I was pleasantly surprised with how few OEM-branded pieces of software there was. I believe I only had to uninstall one program. Lenovo's "Vantage" app is a simple and great management tool that provides system updates, diagnostics, and other useful tools for your machine. Having worked in IT for the past 5 years, I've experienced device management through Lenovo, Dell, and Acer platforms and Lenovo beats out the competitors when it comes to device support and customer service. Their tools are great, and their customer service is usually prompt. Their devices are usually a little higher when comparing hardware to hardware with other brands, but that premium comes as the cost to their customer service. Buggy Firmware: The only major issue I have run into thus far with this machine is a firmware bug that occurred when I was testing video streaming. I tried to watch a show on Netflix, and without skipping a beat, about 5 seconds into playing, the machine would hard crash and reboot. This happened several times. Upon investigating online, I found that there was a BIOS hotfix to correct this issue. I believe someone mentioned there was something wrong with the board communicating with the AMD Ryzen processor to use the iGPU instead of trying to swap to the dedicated Nvidia GPU and it was causing the system to crash out. The BIOS update did fix this, but it had taken over an hour to find this out and correct it. For those of you who purchase the unit, I highly recommend running Lenovo Vantage and ensure you get all updates including the BIOS utility update to avoid this issue. All in all, this is a quality machine with a slightly higher price-per-hardware ratio, making this an excellent purchase if you can find it on a discount.

I recently purchased the Legion Slim 5 laptop as an open-box item, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. Despite being open-box, the laptop arrived in pristine condition, a testament to the quality of both the product and the seller's packaging. Firstly, the shipping was incredibly fast, exceeding my expectations. Within days of placing my order, I had the laptop in hand, ready to go. This was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the challenges with shipping delays that many are facing nowadays. As for the laptop itself, it's an exceptional value for the money. The Legion Slim 5 boasts powerful performance, sleek design, and a host of features that make it perfect for both work and play. The slim profile makes it highly portable, while the impressive specs ensure smooth multitasking and gaming experiences. Despite being an open-box item, I encountered no issues with functionality or performance. It runs like a dream, handling everything I throw at it with ease. Plus, the savings I got by opting for an open-box purchase made it even more worthwhile. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If you're in the market for a high-performance laptop at a great price, look no further than the Legion Slim 5. With fast shipping and unbeatable value, it's a decision you won't regret. Highly recommended!

First of all, awesome product. I’ve had it for over 3 months now and I love it. I upgraded the Ram and SSD naturally because 500gb is laughably low for todays storage heavy games. The storage was definitely a con, but after the upgrade it’s definitely an impressive machine. Also the m.2 screw on the original SSD was stripped (before I even touched it) and I had to go to a hardware repair place to get it removed and replaced. Beyond that I was disappointed in Best Buy to some degree. I specifically requested (marked off) I did not want McAfee bloatware installed, and it was installed. If it weren’t for the McAfee garbage and the lower storage I probably would’ve given it a 5 star. McAfee acts like virus itself, despite being a so-called virus protection service. Pros: the computer itself, minus the screw and the minimal storage. Biggest con: the screw and the bloatware. I honestly wish I could’ve selected a middle response of neither recommend or not recommend. Mixed bag really.

I really needed a new gaming laptop since my other one was wearing down terribly fast on me. Due to the current market for technology, it's pretty hard to get a good laptop at a reasonable price. I was thinking of giving up looking for a new laptop until I saw best buy was having a sale & this laptop's price was knocked down to $800. Let me just say that this is a very powerful laptop, especially for it's price. I don't play a lot of high end games; at most I play a lot of MOBAs, but I can play them at very high settings without noticing any sort of lag. I can even do other things in the background too without it slowing down! It's not perfect, of course. I think the battery drains pretty quick & the color on the screen can look a bit off, but other than that I think if you're in need of a budget laptop than you cannot go wrong with getting this one! It's definitely worth it!

Nice little performer for a gaming laptop that won't break the bank. Display on this model could be a little better with a higher brightness, but I guess that's what you get for the price point. Still a nice looking ips panel though. Color is fine for all but the most discerning users. Overall build quality is pretty good and sturdy. Feels premium, lots of aluminum with the exception of the plastic base panel, but it's not like you spend a lot of time feeling the bottom panel. Serviceable ram and storage, with and extra port for another nvme ssd is a big plus these days and bucks the trend most manufacturers are following to cut cost. Solid laptop. Do not regret. Would buy again.

Amazing machine for the price. CPU/GPU were sufficient for anything I tried. Keyboard was very good. Trackpad is not as good as a mac, but it was pretty good for web surfing and general use. Screen was bright and non-reflective. Speakers are perhaps a touch quiet if you are hoping they will fill a large room while you work on another project. The top lid for the screen is metal and the bottom is plastic material. Hinges are sturdy. Build quality is good. Lots of ventilation. Stayed cooler than expected under load. The number pad keys are not full size, I thought they were a bit narrow and not the easiest to use. Port selection is great. Unfortunately, my unit had very faint coil whine that was active 100% of the time the machine was on. I had to return it since I needed to use the machine primarily in a quiet office environment where there is no way to mask the sound. It does not take much background noise to mask the sound. A fan in another room might be sufficient, but that was not an option for me.
