I was a bit concerned coming from a 3700x and 2070 Super desktop that I would lose the ability to play games at max quality. This did not disappoint! Plays Alien Fireteam Elite, Doom Eternal, etc all at Ultra high settings without getting choppy - and the fans don't run at full throttle either. Ability to add a 2nd SSD is awesome. Things I would change: the ability to add more than one 16GB stick of RAM (for a total of 24GB) and the size of the changer - standard 230w PS uses a clunky/standard PC power cord for the brick. I've had other "workstation replacement" laptops from Lenovo that used USB power bricks. Yes they take longer to charge, but they're easier to lug around.

One of the best computers I have experienced, and I have a LOT of computer experience. We purchased this for our son to use for college. Very powerful and well configured, Lenovo quality and service can't be beat! This is the newest and most powerful computer in our home. After experiencing this performance, I decided to build a new desktop computer. But I still am smitten by the LED display and integrated keyboard. Our son also got the matching wireless mouse. Highly recommended, especially if you like / need a laptop computer.

Excellent laptop for gaming. Drives a second monitor flawlessly. Sometimes a touch loud fan wise, but no issues other than that.

Pros: • Good Build Quality using Aluminum • Attractive & Slim Design for both Work and Play • Solid Keyboard • CPU and GPU Combo makes it easy to run any Games or Software Cons: • Battery Life could be Better • Display is 16:9 instead of the 16:10 on the Legion 7 The Thermals are good. I think it can get hot when on Auto or Performance mode, but most of the heat is in the back of the Laptop so it doesn't affect the keyboard.

Very light and portable. Extremely powerful for the size of the laptop. I receive well above 165fps at all esports titles. Battlefield V on highest settings runs like butter even on the balanced mode. I've yet to find a game that requires High Performance mode to achieve my desired frames. I highly recommend!

Had this laptop over a year and still runs amazing

This has been a great laptop for getting through the school day with its long battery life, but also having a discrete graphics card to play games. The only thing is that this laptop is a fingerprint magnet. The lid and keyboard deck are extremely good at keeping in the oils from your hand, making the laptop look dirty at all times.

Great laptop but the horrible design flaws in the keyboard backlighting broke the deal. The iCue software kills the battery fast. Without the iCue software you have to cycle through the rainbow puke layout to get to a solid color. Whenever you unplug the laptop, the backlight turns off completely and you again have to cycle through the annoying modes to get to the solid mode. You would think just hitting the brightness button would turn it back on, but nope. Who actually wants a rainbow backlit keyboard anyhow?? It’s really too bad because otherwise this is a near perfect laptop. Fix the keyboard lighting and squeeze in a 3070 and it would be great.

Best laptop I have ever bought. I love the backlit keyboard. I also love the slim design. Other laptops that I have owned were bulky at this size. This one, however, was lightweight, slim, and has a powerful kick!

So I’m new to gaming laptops, only reason I bought this was because I’m deploying in less than 2 weeks and wanted something portable to game on if I have free time. Anyways this laptop performs well. It does get a bit warm while gaming and whatnot but runs the games ive played wonderful! I would highly recommended this product! Only downside is while gaming my laptop battery lasts about 1hour to an hr and 30 if I’m lucky. Other than that! I love this!

It's really slim and looks cool, the performance is amazing! The Display is really bright and the colors are nice.

Great laptop, the lenovo legion 7 slim is a perfectly balanced laptop in the weight/performance aspect.

It is a very good laptop. Although it's a gaming laptop, it is pretty thin. For day-to-day use super fast and has no noise or heating issues. While playing games it gets pretty loud and the middle of the keyboard gets warm and I think it is normal for most of the gaming laptop. I run the display form discrete graphics card, display is sharp and very color accurate. Battery performance is moderate. It has a very nice keyboard. Trackpad is good.

I purchased the laptop at the end of August of this year and I needed certain specs for my classes Since first opening it.. -the laptop would last about 4 hours with a fully charged battery. Died very fast, just using chrome alone. - it would take foreverrrr to update and it wouldn’t even complete the updates on a few occasions. Fast forward to today, December 8th. -I updated the laptop and shut it down last night. Now, the screen will not turn on at all. I have tried troubleshooting it. It’s completely off will not turn on but the keyboard starts blinking in weird intervals. The laptop gets extremely hot right away, and the fan doesn’t seem to be working. I tried holding the power button to shut it all off and it’s still extremely hot. The worst part is… it stopped working the day before my final exams. I have 3 and I am needing to run autocad to complete my finals. Now it needs to get serviced. I’m about to get into the fetal position and cry myself to sleep because this can’t be my life.

I am overall very satisfied with this laptop. Like other reviewers have said. Phenomenal for productivity, coding task, and photo/light video editing as the monitor covers 100% sRGB. Also a great 1080p gaming experience with that 165Hz display. It has a great stealth look when not using the rainbow effects. The only dislikes I have is that it is a fingerprint magnetic, soldered RAM (1 upgrade RAM slot), and I occasionally get locked into the lower downclocked speeds ~0.30 GHZ instead of the regular 3.2-4.2GHz I see.
