I upgraded the ram to 64GB and replaced the NvME drive with two 6gbps 2TB drives, four 6GB SSDs, and two 18TB HHDs. The RTX makes my old 1080 look like integrated graphics.

This thing was a mistake. The specs on this build seemed pretty attractive at first but I quickly learned how terrible the components truly were once I tried to research upgrades, expansion, or even just simple optimization. I’ve had this thing for 2 months and it’s already encountered a Checking Media Presence loop which means now Windows tries to boot PXE from IPv4 every single time the device powers up. This either means that the SSD or the motherboard already failed because I check the boot priorities and the SSD is still set to 1st priority. So despite hardware being designated top priority, Windows fails to boot. And since Lenovo BIOS is completely locked down, it’s impossible to fix because the setting you need doesn’t exist in Lenovo BIOS. I now have an $1800 paperweight that could be fixed in literally 10 seconds but since lenovo thinks their customers are babies, the rig is bricked. This is not a gaming PC. This thing is a toy for children who have no idea what they’re doing and just want a computer that will play games, BUT better also hope nothing randomly goes wrong during an update or the entire machine is unplayable. Stay away from Lenovo.

Legion 7i Tower Review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The PC came with a dead motherboard or cpu, upon the first startup the PC beeped 7 times and no display was shown on my monitor, when a PC beeps 7 times it’s a code word for problem with cpu/motherboard. It’s very rare and unlucky that the PC came like this, I returned and ordered the same PC again and I hope the next one doesn’t come defective. I’ll give the PC a 1 star rating obviously because it was defective and unusable, I will leave a review on the new PC when I get it.
