I love this laptop so far. It has a nice feel to it for an all plastic design and is not some boy racer design like most of its competition. Only downside to it is the mechanical hdd. It is slow! But I have become accustomed to ssd for the past few years so take that into account. I added 8gb of ram and an nvme drive to it and it is now exactly what I wanted. In most games I have tried it will easily push past the 60fps basement and look good while doing it.

This laptop has all the basic necessities for any type of work possible. It can handle light to medium gaming at a solid 120 FPS depending on the game. It can do many things because of its core i7 and it is very fast.

THis has been a pretty good gaming laptop so far. The games run smoothly and the graphics are amazing! It seems to be very well built and durable as well. Definitly a good gaming laptop for the money.

I purchased this one already knowing I would be adding a NVME Drive. I opened the laptop and for $150 in parts made it competitive with $1300 models. My advice is buy it, add 8gb of ram (slot is available) and also add the nvme drive. This is a solid laptop with reasonably good cooling solution and plenty of power for esports and/or professional use.

Ive had this laptop for almost a year now and got it on sale for less than $750 including tax. The specs on it are decent for the price. Only thing is that it has a hard drive not an SSD, so bootup time is slow and when handling multiple programs it can become kinda sluggish. PROS: minimalist design, screen, value CONS: the webcam on the bottom of the screen, regular hard drive not SSD

good laptop, but if you want an excellent laptop, I recommend purchasing the "Samsung 970 EVO 500GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD" because the Hard drive that comes with the laptop it is very slow, and you need to upgrade the ram also, at least 16 GB, just the OS takes like 3 or 4 gb of ram, and if you open chrome with a lot of tabs and at the same time you want to open photoshop, almost all the ram will be used. You can play good games with this laptop, I tried Titan fall 2, runs very smooth!!

It has a finished style, great keyboard and good performance. I would recommended for gaming or use it for architecture/design matters. Good laptop overall

I bought this a few months back and I love it. The looks and performance (after bloat ware was deleted) reach my expectations. Doesn’t look cheap and the screen is crisp. The fans are noticeably loud but it stays cool. The battery life could be a concern if your planning to game or do stuff outside of having somewhere to plug in.

The build quality of this laptop is top notch! Lenovo has never disappointed me and this continues that trend. It doesn’t seem to thermally throttle with everything I’ve thrown at it. I did add an M.2 NVME drive for the boot and now it boots in 8 seconds! Also added more ram to make it have 16GB. Running amazingly!

Great laptop at a great price. Wanted to be able to play games as well as run my day to day programs. This laptop can easily handle games like Destiny 2. I have the 8GB of ram which it was able to run just fine. Would highly recommend to anyone considering an overall versatile laptop that's slim as well.

I've had this laptop for over two months now, and it's completely blown my expectations away. I've never owned a gaming laptop so this was my first, and as a college student, it was important for me to find something I could use for gaming and school. This laptop excels in both areas. I have yet to find a game it hasn't been able to run beautifully, and I've been using it to play such games as Overwatch, Fallout 4, Mad Max, Civilization, and Black Ops III, all of which have experienced no issues. I have it connected via HDMI to an Acer monitor as well. For school I've been using programs like Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Word, and Powerpoint, which run perfectly. I would highly recommend this laptop for anyone, whether it's your first or you're looking to upgrade!

The Lenovo Legion y530 is both a great gaming laptop and all around laptop. Needed something for both gaming and graphic intensive applications. This fit the bill nicely. Dedicated graphics in a sub 5.5lb packers and doesn’t look like a gaming laptop is a huge plus.

If you have a good internet connection, this laptop gives you great speeds. Not gonna run some of the new games at the highest settings, but definitely playable. For offline modes, Skyrim runs smooth. Recommend it for its price and power.

This laptop is everything in 15.6 inches. Great for gaming and music production. Keys are smooth and backlight is easy on the eyes for late night sessions. Graphics are amazing, you won't be disappointed.

I bought the Lenovo Legion for work and to game on. It handles my work related things very well. Games play great on it. Every older title I have played can run on ultra setting very easy. Newer titles like Black Ops 4 and Crackdown run on medium to high settings well. The built in cooling fans are an amazing touch. During heavy gaming the fan kicks in and really cools the GPU quite alot. The Backlit keyboard is bright and can be adjusted and start up is fast but I would recommend getting a SSD for faster load times and start up. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend this laptop for anyone looking for a very solid mid range gaming laptop.

I got this laptop to replace my current lenovo Y40 laptop with core I7 6h generation and 14 inch display with no touch screen. this laptop is the same width as the 3 years old 14 inch Y40 due to its amazingly thin bezel. this is one of the most things I love about this laptop. Screen is not touch, brightness and contrast are very good. keyboard is full and very comfortable although the num pad position is a bit odd. the keyboard is also backlit but in white only which can be dimmed. the touchpad is really big and nice to navigate, and they brought back physical keys for the touch pad which you can use or not! I loved that they put most of ports including the power on the back. its way more convenient. now, performance: This laptop has the latest core I7 processor, 8 GB of ram, and a 1050 TI graphic card, in addition to intel HD graphics. gaming on this laptop was fun, I played the Fortnite with high quality settings (I let Nvidia graphics card decide which settings), and it was very intersting and easy to play, and then i had all settings put to the max and the game still ran but lagged a bit. the same hapenned with Need for speed payback. gaming on this LAPTOP is reasonable as long as you have realistic expectations. now lets talk about a few things I found very important and added to the value and performance of the laptop: 1- this laptop comes with a 1 TB HD with 7200 RPM. make sure you swap it for an SSD and you will see better loading times in almost every app including games, restart time, and you will notice increased battery life (slightly) due to the absence of the mechanical HDD. 2- the ram for this laptop is 8 GB and is expandable up to 16 GB, if you can do it it will be a lot better especially if you are going to use it for games or rendering. 3- you have the option to switch between graphic cards intel or Nvidia, or auto select. I strongly recommend keeping it on auto select because if you chose the Nvidia as a permanent option, the laptop will not last more than an hour and 10 minutes on battery alone, it will always drain the battery if you have this option. finally, this is a very well built laptop, and easy to upgrade parts that can be upgraded. swapping the HDD takes less than 10 minutes and is very user friendly. maintenance manual is available from Lenovo and had detailed information on how to upgrade parts. f

After I bought this I immediately upgraded the hard disk and memory. Now it is a great Windows laptop with 32GB Memory and 1TB SSD Hard Drive. Graphics are acceptable. Sound is not that good but a good sound system will do the work. Lenovo is a good choice.

Alot of specs for money. Relatively thin but feels well built. However I ordered the 16gb optane kit and having Lenovo authorized repair install it. Good thing I work for a computer company There is a little lag opening applications so optane is needed Keyboard looks and feels good and screen is pretty decent.
