It protects the screen when it's closed and holds well onto gym equipment and the dashboard of a car when you're parked. It can become a stand to prop up the tablet.

Having bought this with the Lenovo P12 tablet and owning it for these past few months, I think I can make a decent assessment to it. Like the title says...... The good: I can prop it up and use it as a stand for viewing (landscape only). It has an open compartment slot on its back where you can keep the stylus the tablet came with. The front flap protects the screen from scratches and scuffs that can occur if you have it inside a carrying case. And finally, it would also put your tablet screen to sleep once you have it covered. The not-so-good: The flap barely stays shut via magnetically, so you do have to take care on how you put it in your carrying case. The BAD: This case is not designed to protect your tablet if it accidentally slips off your hands and fall on a hard floor. Overall, this folio is good enough to put up with the bumps and grinds that happens inside of a travel/carrying case, nothing more.

Sorry I have had this design in this past but the folios were thicker. The new thin cover and base are flimsy. Using the stand is a challenge. Unfolds itself so you must repeatedly reposition rolled up back stand. The older models were fiscally thicker and worked much better. And at $25.00 it's just Not worth it. I would usually purchase this style for $10.00 and then took my time finding the Perfect fit for that Tablet and then gave away the cheapy to a Friend without one. Nice Quality materials used, but just not up to the job because they offer Little Protection in drop situation. It would not fair well from a fall. Looking for a Unicorn Beatle that is Sturdy and has an actual rear kickstand that makes tipping it over near impossible! I still think Lenova makes Good products.

Purchased in July 2024 from Lenovo directly and it started to fall a part after only 3 months of light use. The case has started to separate see pictures below. I contacted Lenovo and they provide no warranty on the case even when purchased with the tablet. They also prevent you from leaving a review on their website for products you purchased over 30 days ago. The reviews on Lenovo's site are not accurate since it only reflects people who have own the product for less than 30 days. Lenovo has skewed their review metrics and I will not trust their review information going forward. I appreciate BestBuy allowing me to leave an honest review of the product.

I take this off occasionally to use a keyboard case. The keyboard case is heavier so It's not always on. One of the plastic corner pieces cracked off while removing it after only 3-4 times.
