Windows 10 S Mode

No where in the description of this laptop did it state that this laptop came with Windows 10 Home S Mode. Meaning that only Apps from the Microsoft store can be installed. This information is Extremely important to the consumer. The hoops that Microsoft makes you jump through is almost as bad to remove the S Mode. Please make it very obvious that if a computer is S Mode - tell us. Wasted over 6 hours fixing this so my client could install her programs.

Super fast good looking laptop

I bought this laptop just for working on emails, some spreadsheets, and browse the internet. It is so fast, set it up was a breeze, I am so happy with my purchase. Originally, I saw an open box in the store but decided to order a brand new one because the price difference was not much. I am glad I did.

So much storage!

I wanted a large amount of storage, for photos, music, and other files, and I got it with this computer. I always appreciate having a ten-key as part of the keyboard, so I'll get a lot of use out of that. I am already getting used to, and maybe dependent upon, the touch screen. A good value.

Learning new tech does not come easy to me or my wife. That being said I find the mouse pad hard to use but I found that I can use an old fashion mouse that works for us. Windows 10 is a challenge after 7. I think all will be well in time but for now it’s hard.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad S340-15 laptop. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. The heart of the IdeaPad S340-15 is the Windows 10 Operating System. To learn your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

I wasn't sure about this computer because of the price.. (since this was less expensive then some/alot of the others), but I bought it anyway. So glad I did! I do not use the touch-screen part, I am old school and use the mouse. My son does use the touch screen and it works great.

Great laptop for the price

Unfortunately I had to replace the six month old laptop for my college son because he managed to drown it in water. This computer fit the bill perfectly. There weren't a lot of good sales at the time of the purchase but it gets the job done!

I purchased this after having a horrible experience with another brand for my daughter for college. This unit has been rock solid and is under daily use by a very active college student not only for school work but everyday use including editing photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. Definitely would recommend this laptop.

I am so happy with my lenovo laptop. It is so fast and works 10,000x better than any Dell or HP that I've owned prior to this. I also purchased this as an open box in excellent condition, and I had really great luck with it.

Light weight

I like the laptop. It is light weight for sitting in an easy chair and browsing internet. While kids were doing zoom for school they could plug in 2nd monitor and have dual-monitor. I like the speed. I'd like another.

I needed something I could use for a large volume of Microsoft office files, SPSS, and editing videos. This machine does it all and more! Didn't get slow when downloading everything- all 15 years worth of files!
