Sooo slow. Painfully slow. I wonder if my 7 year old phone still works, slow.
It notified me of a bunch of updates. It's been updating for going on 2 hours now.
I'm using this as a Ring door bell monitor. For that it's OK. Running just the one app and absolutely nothing else.
Screen seems to smudge badly too.
Micro USB is annoying.
It blows me away that they were able to find such a terrible CPU for this tablet.

Fantastic Alternative to a Kindle Fire!!!

After my second 7" Kindle Fire began to die, I was looking for something else to replace it. I really wanted something that could run apps from the Google Play Store, especially things that would work with my SmartThings hub and Alexa. Well, this has it all! The 8 and 10" tablets are just too large to hold comfortably while laying in bed which is where I do most of my reading. It runs all the apps I need, is great to read with either the Kindle app or Cloud Library, and the battery lasts quite a bit longer than my Kindle did. Just wish they had an auto on/sleep cover to fit it, but I can live with one that isn't. Really like this tablet . . . it's SO much better than a Kindle Fire!!!

I've had very few gadgets I love as much as this one. It is the perfect substitute for an e-reader, especially if you read ebooks with color pictures. Since I read a lot of Art History books, this little tablet is perfect. It's not as clunky or as slow as the Fire Tablet 7--both thinner and lighter. And since it's real Android, it runs normal apps more quickly and with fewer glitches. The only thing that comes close is an iPad Mini, but this is hundreds of dollars less than even the last-generation Mini. It's perfect! Highly recommended.

At this price point, you cannot expect a fast and snappy tablet. The camera is 'meh'. Keep in mind that this 7" tablet is actually quite small (almost looks like an extra-large phone). It's a budget tablet but performs a lot better than those cheap/unknown tablet brands off of amazon. If you're used to budget phones, the performance of this tablet will be satisfactory. On the other hand, if you like fast and snappy phones/tablets, this is not the tablet for you.

Obviously this is a budget device. I like the price, design and basic usability. It's also a little sturdier than some of the similar Chinese bargain brands. It works fine, as expected. However some basic apps freeze and crash even through I know the same apps work fine on my iPad. So buy this for very basic use to save money but don't buy it for anything processor intensive.

Given the fact that is a one of the new generation of products I expected the display to be great. When I use YouTube I have to lower the resolution to 480, the higher one slows down alot

I bought this to use for GPS navigation in a small plane, using the Avare app. My old Android tablet wasn't able to be upgraded to the latest version of Android and I got this as a replacement. It works well and loads significantly faster than my old tablet. The only downside is that the screen is somewhat dim, especially in bright sunlight.

I purchased this device to play a podcast for a workout and to download additional workouts on Amazon prime. The device is slow and sometimes I have to power it off to stop the podcast. I guess I expected it to be similar to my phone for speed. I should have spent more time understanding the differences in the technical aspects of the device.
