I purchased the Lenovo Tab3 8" tablet as a replacement for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7" tablet which died on me (after quite a few months of use). My frustrations with the Galaxy Tab 3 was primarily over VERY slow performance which made the device almost useless. I can say that my experience with the Lenovo TAB3 8" tablet is a breath of fresh air. The TAB3 comes loaded with Android 6, the latest version and it is very snappy in its program loading and general operation. I powered my on, and it immediately downloaded an update to the system ROM, which I take as a good sign that Lenovo has active support for this device. While the specifications are modest relative to the CPU speed, install RAM memory and built-in storage (16GB), you can install a microSD card to have additional internal storage for pictures, videos or music. The device sounds good playing music and the screen is bright and clear. While some may think the device is short-changed by not being all metal, I personally am thankful that the back and sides of the device have a non-slip surface. I believe the build quality of the device is very good, and I expect to get much use from it in the future.

I bought my first Lenovo Tab S8 Jan 2015, was slow and had problems with it shutting down and would not come back up. I bought on sale at Best Buy with a Christmas Gift Card and waited too long to use it, then by the time I figured out this wasn't a going to get any better I called Best Buy and they would only give store credit, so I decided to send it back to manufacturer, Lenovo, and waited several weeks for a replacement. The replacement was a little better but still slow, worked OK for a year and then started with shutting down and difficult to bring back up. It officially died January 2017. So, I bought another this time the Lenovo Tab3 8, slow, slow, slow... I'm done with Lenovo. Taking it back.
