Only kept this laptop for 2 weeks. Battery life was just about non existent.. With brightness all the way down and no videos or anything playing I would still only get about 30-45 minutes TOPS before completely dead. On top of that on boot up it would tell me that the AC adapter is not the original and or compatible... (Thanks Best Buy for giving me a charger that wasn't even compatible for the laptop.) Also on boot up sometime I would get a "fan error" and couldn't load any further from there... Terrible terrible terrible! CD drive would periodically pop out/open on its own. Seriously... :/ Extremely disappointed and very inconvenient having to then deal with the matters. Would highly NOT RECOMMEND.

Don't Know if Best Buy Cares

We purchased this refurbished and received Geek Squad Help per an email. What happened: We could not install even a basic program like Quicken. It errored out saying a Win7 error. We tried to update Win 7 and after 10 hours, it would not update. Yes, we rebooted. We called Geek Squad for our free install help (as per their email). They first said we needed to look for a Win7 help ourselves, so we googled on our own trying to fix the Best Buy issue. They said they would help for 15 minutes tops and then charge us. We called again and they said they could not find that we bought it - we could prove it by bringing in our receipt. I don't know if Best Buy corporate doesn't care, Best Buy local doesn't care, the department that works to sell refurbished items doesn't care . . . buy it seems like all three do not care.

If you need a second laptop or don't want to take your expensive unit on the road this computer is great. SSD makes it lightning fast and the warranty covers you for a year.

This has been the worst laptop I have ever owned. Would highly not recommend buying this laptop and I will probably never buy a refurbished laptop again even though there was upgraded parts. Terrible terrible terrible!

I needed a Windows 7 computer to get some work done which required the older operating system. Didn't want to spend much and this unit was perfect. Reconditioned is a great way to save money and get a good machine.

Tough Luck - 0 battery life

I have bought several refurbished products from Best Buy but never a laptop and unfortunately its been a pretty bad experience. I was quite disappointed with the physical state of the laptop - it was all covered in black sticker to hide the wear on the body including the keys and mouse pad. Once I took off the sticker it looked like the previous owner stabbed it with a knife and also engraved his company name. Worst of all - the battery life is almost 0 - it doesn't last more than 15 minutes. Now, how can we call this refurbished? There's food particles stuck on the speakers which just won't come off. Also, it is evident that the laptop has been taken apart then put back together - you can tell when you type - that hollow brittle feel. Title of this product is very misleading - it should say 'extensively used' not 'refurbished'. Don't get me wrong - I love Lenovo laptops and this review is nothing against quality of Lenovo. The refurbishing company is to blame - this third party vendor, I don't recall the name - they provide a one year warranty as well. Take my advice, spend some extra dollars and buy a new one.
