However, computer would not charge up. I took computer to Best Buy where Geek Squad removed battery and tried to run computer with power cord only and computer would not turn on. Alternative given was to return computer or use credit toward another computer. New computer was twice as much. I feel this was a bait and switch scheme. Computer had updated chips but ran Windows 8.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I ordered two refurbished laptops and one is working just fine but this Lenovo Thinkpad T440 is horrible...some serious operating issues across touchpad, keyboard, network connection. All other devices stay connected to same network sources (MiFi, home router, mobile in hotspot mode) and this machine keeps having lost connection regardless so it is def machine. Very frustrating for online/all remote school when in virtual class and taking tests especially. In touch pad and keyboard, just stops working intermittently no rhyme or reason. Will never buy refurbished again. Hoped that if getting from Best Buy it would be a stable machine.

Since it’s refurbished I purchased something from a “PlanIt” so I contacted them and sent it n for repair. I just received it back and nothing has changed! Same problem, same messages and no body answers my calls! And it’s too late now to return to Best Buy. What a waste of money!!

We liked the Lenovos, but they are higher priced. We went with a refurbished one, saved money and are very happy with it.
