The headset when put on is tight and not adjustable, the soft plastic part has a cheap feel to it. The real problem for me was that whenever the cord moved against clothing or any other object, it would make loud noises in the headphones. I have owned numerous headsets and never encountered this problem before. I returned the headset.

The sound was not perfect and within two days of use. The headset is no longer functioning. Since I could not find my receipts, it was hard for me to return it. I felt bad and I felt, that is was a total loss. The product did not serve it purpose. All is well.

Excellent mid budget headset for gaming

I purchased this item after considering Turtlebeach and logitech and steelseries headsets. It has a USB or 3.5mmm jack unlike most headset. The mic boom is detachable. the bass is very good and the treble is crisp. They headset band is made from stainless steel not cheap plastic. has 7 band equilizer for fine tuning your sound preferences and a ton of sound options including 7.1 surround sound. I am a 48 year old adult gamer. My 25 year old kids were jealous of this and payed $100+ for theirs that sound just as good as mine.

One of the best headsets for the price

I just picked these up a few days ago and I just need to say I am 100% blown away. This is the best headset I have ever owned. I don't have very much experience with any headsets that are $150+ but I have owned quite a few mid end $50-$100 pairs, and this one is leagues ahead of the others. The 7.1 surround sound sounds so amazing once you have the headset optimized with the EQ software that comes with them. The noise cancellation is top notch. The "breathing" LED lights are definitely a cool feature, but its nice that they can also be turned off. You really need to use the Lenovo software that comes with them to get the most of their surround sound capabilities otherwise your computer will just treat them like a stereo headset. But once everything is configured you will get some amazing sound depth and really crisp treble. Overall this headset is the best in its price tier.

    Not worth it.

I bought these headphones because they are made by Lenovo. Their laptops are generally of good quality, so I figured I'd give these a shot. What a disappointment they were. While the sound is definitely not bad, the padding on the headband is too thin. Also, the padding on the ears is a little uncomfortable after more than about 30 minutes of use. Those issues alone wouldn't quite warrant a 1 star rating, but the headset started buzzing non-stop after less than two weeks of use. Lenovo really should stick to what they're good at, which is laptops.

    Awful Mic no driver disk

First off this doesn't come with a driver disk so you have to download or else surround sound won't work, with some playing around these sound great but the mic is the worse ever as one csgo player said to me please don't use your mic till you land from your flight. get the kraken 7.1 chroma by razer. but if your looking for a good 7.1 headset without a mic then these are pretty good.

    Great but not so Great

The headset itself is awesome the audio quality is amazing and it's all i ask for in a headset, But the fact that the mic is garbage is really disappointing, ive looked up everything to do but i either have to scream to make it work or put it close to my mouth which is really uncomfortable and if i did get it to produce sound all you heard was a loud ringing or high pitched tone. Not at all satisfied.

As you know, the microphone on the Y-Series headset is removable. You may want to try another microphone to see if the problem id in the mic or elsewhere. lenovo

This headset is very nice, worth every penny. The problem I had is that the mic goes fuzzy and according to some friends of mine I sound like a robot at times. And also that today, after a couple months of having the headphones and treating them moderately well, the right side won't put out any sound! I tried a few things, but nothing worked.

The headset worked fine but for a little bit overwhelming bass. However, the mic began making high pitched squealing noises within a few days of purchasing this product.
