Was a mac user but hated not being able to use my regular shortcuts and normal pc things. Love that is just as light and compact as the mac book air but had a touch screen and can be used as a tablet. Haven't explored all the features yet but so far so good!

Best Laptop Ever!

I originally bought the Lenovo U430P as a replacement for my old Averatec laptop, but about a week with that laptop I found myself really hating the views on the screen and the resolution wasn't where I wanted it to be. I was looking to buy either this YP2 or that Lenovo but was hesitant against this one because of the 256gb hard drive. The U430P had a 500gb hard drive. But when I exchanged and bought this one, the world of difference this makes is just beyond belief! First of all, it's only 3 lbs! I look at other laptops now and wonder how did I ever like such clunky devices. Second, the i7 processor is a BEAST! The speed difference between this laptop and other laptops is just phenomenal. Next, the 4 different modes of the laptop, from tablet mode to tent mode to stand...I've used all the modes and it's just a joy. Also, all of the Lenovo apps are actually quite functional and good additions to the laptop. And on top of it all, it's touch screen is extremely responsive and accurate. The touch pad can be programmed to do some pinch to zoom functions also. I just love this laptop. It's probably the best laptop that I've ever bought. I'm not a gamer so I didn't need all of those stats that gamers usually need laptops for. I have a small business and the issue that I had with storage was easily fixed with a small portable 1TB hard drive, and also cloud storage. I was able to sync my pc with my business computer so all of my files travel with me every where I go, but at only a fraction of the weight. The last thing I'll say is that I normally don't do these review things. I typically felt like they were either bought or the people didn't know what they were talking about, but once I received the invitation to comment, I had to. If you're in the market for a solid laptop, with great graphics, and portability, don't pass this Yoga Pro 2 up at all!

I bought two of these and I love it; one for my and one for my wife. The speed is so amazing any future laptop or desktop will have to have a Solid State Drive. You turn it on and bam its on in less than 10 seconds. The lightweight laptop is great; not having a small weight on your lap is so nice. It does not have a CD/DVD drive so you'll need an external one if you use those media formats; but if you don't use it that often you won't miss it. I hardly use a CD/DVD drive as most programs I use are downloadable. There are two main things I do not like about this laptop. The color yellow is still affected where it isn't correctly shown. For example while using a word document, what is normally the highlighter yellow appears as a mustard yellow. It is not a problem and if you had never been on a computer before you would never know it was not the right color. It is just that this screen produces amazing colors and it is surprising that they got this wrong. The second thing I do not like is the video card. It is only an Intel 4400 which for games like Battlefield 4, you are only going to get low resolution and that is not all that great even on low. I wish there was a way they could have had a better graphics choice. There is a third thing wrong with this computer, but it doesn't bother me, but it may others. Memory is not upgradeable or replaceable as it is soldered onto the board. 8gb is enough for me and being that the video is only Intel 4400 you shouldn't need more. Yet some people like the option to change things out. Overall if I had to do over again I would buy this laptop again. I will keep this as long as it works or if there is a Yoga 3 Pro that features a better graphics option.
The keys are nice to my touch, I actually feel like they allow me to type faster. There is no side keypad which takes some getting used to but I can tell I am better with it now then I was.
Sound quality is amazing given the size, it is more than loud enough. If you need anything louder you should use headphones because you may be annoying others close by.
Touch pad is nice although the buttons are not separated so you may click the left when you want the right or vice versa.
This is perfect for business, students, or everyday use.
This is not ideal for gamers.

Boots up very fast; shuts down fast. Great screen resolution. Biggest problem is terrible touch pad; jumps to other pages and changes sizes with the slightest misplacement of a finger; I disabled almost all features. Other problem is Windows 8.1; it must have taken Microsoft a lot of effort to destroy the formerly useful Windows system. The computer doesn't seem to know how to deal with Windows Live Mail or Quicken. It is light and convenient and versatile. Primarily I wait and hope for Windows 10 which Best Buy personnel have told me will be a free Lenovo upgrade.

A little difficult to get used to windows 8 after using a MAC for many years. The yoga pro is very light, the picture is great and the touch screen feature is really nice.
The best buy employees were very very helpful and the return policy is unbeatable.

So far this is a good comp/laptop. I am still learning the windows 8.1 thing. My main grips are that I have had to have it worked on twice because of the flash not working properly. Other than that its great. Versatile, agile yet strong. Lots of features.

Just the right size, nice and thin and perfect weight. Really fast! The display is super, had to tweak the resolution because the text was so small with the 3400 x ****. The high resolution makes for fantastic details in graphics, nice and crisp. The display color doesn't shift when viewing at a angle like most do. It has a nice set of function keys along the top, the usual ones and one that closes the window and one that duplicates alt + tab. Sound is a real eye opener coming from a thin ultra book The keys are nice for as thin as it is and being back-lit is a real plus. The mouse pad is nice and smooth to the touch. With the Core 7 and SSD it's super fast at boot up being as fast as others just waking up from being in sleep mode. When monitoring in task manager the CPU never goes over 45%. Battery life is good, not great but with the screen being a high resolution and as bright as it is, it's pretty good. I really like Lenovo, they where right there installing hybrid SSD's even in 575 ultra books making for fast boot ups and nice displays. They also have 1 button recovery on the side on my Yoga 2 Pro 2 and Yoga 2 11

You can use this in so many ways as it is versatile to use as laptop or tablet mode. Had this model 8 months now and had no issues. Battery life seems less than what manufacture states but all pc's have this issue from what I have experienced.
Glad to have a pc that has not had issues. The solid state aspects of the pc does make a difference as to how it operates which is better than non solid state pc's.

If you're tired of lugging around the 13lb laptop from client to client, this is the product for you! Product has just about everything you need for practical daily usage (80% of the time). I'm a consultant out in the field and use this product for business and can function just fine 80% of the time. I needed to buy an Ethernet adapter (for when wireless signal is poor at client sites), a VGA adapter (for when I need to project to a VGA connected projector to do presentations), and a micro/mini HDMI adapter so I could project from my micro HDMI port to most TVs. The 3 accessories could fit in a small 1 quart zip-lock bag that can fit in my laptop bag). Also you don't have a DVD drive (which can be a pain sometimes) but these days most software can be downloaded online.

Upgrading from a 2004 laptop, I wanted to never see the buffering icon again and this computer meets that need. It uploads very quickly and I rarely have to wait more than seconds for anything. I am using it mostly for online classes and the smaller computer size of 13.3" makes it convenient to work among different books and papers. Due to its smaller size however the print is smaller than I prefer. Part of the problem is that the screen is much smaller than the 13.3" dimension due to its fairly large border. My son's computer is the same size but the screen is larger since his computer's borders are negligible. The right shift key is smaller than most other keyboards so there is an adjustment needed. I did not think I would enjoy the touch screen but it quickly became a plus. Though I did not buy the computer for its ability to fold into a tablet, this feature has also become something I found useful. Overall I would recommend this computer.

You will not be disappointed with this ultrabook! Best in class. Delivers speed, sharp screen, light weight. Nice that you can use as a tablet but I probably won't as I have a iPad mini that I carry in my purse. Check it out.! You won't regret purchasing the Yoga Pro 2.

I bought this ultra-portable after researching for weeks for something under 14" that is powerful (no video games though), lightweight with FHD or QHD display. I like Linux (and OSX) over Windows so I had to install Ubuntu 14.04-2 with Gnome 3.10 as the window manager. Set the resolution as 1080p instead of QHD, and it's perfect! Much lighter than my MacBook Pro at the expense of physical strength.

This computer is terrific! It is lightweight, but feels solid. It is easy to set into 4 different position as a tablet or notebook. The keyboard has a nice solid feel when you depress the keys. The solid state drive is fast. The computer is nicely responsive. I chose the 13" for easy portability and also the smaller size is a great size for tablet mode. The display is crisp and bright. I also like the touch screen capability - I do not type well so this is a plus for me. All in all I could not be happier with this product.

The first Yoga 2 Pro I purchased had a bad drive but Best Buy replaced it with no questions asked. It has been great for music and photos which is why I purchased it primarily. However, I also purchased Microsoft Office 365 and the document editing on the Yoga has been awesome. It is much faster than my PC at work!

This laptop was recommended by the sales manager at Best Buy, It is lightening fast, quick start-up, great resolution. very thin and light. Will be great for my purposes. Pretty small hard drive, as is necessary for an ultra-thin laptop. Had some issues with software early on that were resolved by my tech guy. Can't blame the unit. If you don't have access to a tech guy, get the geek squad.

So far I've had very minor problems with this laptop but overall it is really good for it's price. It is lighter than I expected and easy to use. The battery lasts a long time so I can use it without having the charger with me at all times. I also like how fast and durable it is.

I am really enjoying this laptop. I needed something thin, lightweight, fast, and most importantly, a PC, and this covers all of those requirements. I didn't need any of the additional things that it does, like folding into a tablet or stand, but those features are fine. I mostly needed a laptop that was easy to use, and could keep up with the work I do in excel and stata, which it does.
