Great travel laptop

Great laptop. It had the features I was looking for: thin, lighted keyboard, metal case, and touchscreen. Like other reviewers I am little under-impressed with the processor but it's to be expected as a trade off for being thin. On the plus side it hasn't overheated, which I have heard happens to the i5 and i7 processors. The hinge functions well and gives it a more stable feel versus only having only two plastic hinges on either side of the screen. The solid state hard drive makes a big difference in speed (helping make up for the processor). The smaller internal hard drive has also helped encourage me to keep more sensitive data on an external drive, which for security reasons is a good idea. Over-all it's a great mix of tablet and laptop features. It is easy to travel with and still has the capability to run standard business software applications.

I love that the lap top is light and durable making it easy to carry to class. The touch screen is nice and I haven't had any problems with it. However, one month after I bought the lap top the sound stopped working from the speakers and would only work with ear phones plugged in. Besides that issue I really enjoy the lap top as it is good for school and play such as watching Netflix or playing games.

I've had my Yoga 3 since December now and it's amazing. The display is crisp and beautiful, it processes like a champ and it's so lightweight and portable it's unbelievable! I use it primarily for leisure: social media sites, web browsing, photos, Netflix, watching videos, etc. as well as some office stuff that requires programs like Word and Excel. My only complaint is that the battery doesn't last as long as I'd like- Probably about an hour and a half or so on a full charge, but that hasn't been too much of an issue. I would definitely recommend this laptop, it both works and looks beautiful(ly).

I appreciate the effectiveness of the Yoga Pro 3. For me, I need the laptop primarily for educational purposes. I have been using an ancient laptop for the last 6 years, give or take. And let me just say, the Yoga Pro 3 is an astounding system. The picture quality is great for videos, and the processor works great for my needs. Now I don't do anything crazy, nor am I into any super technical stuff. But it's awesome at getting me through my day to day needs. Super light weight and the touch screen feature is great. I love the adaptability of the hinge. Overall, an awesome purchase for me!

This is a great travel computer as it is very lightweight and has a long lasting battery. The touch screen and tablet mode are great additions for presentations. It does occasionally get overpowered by large Excel files but does an overall great job for the size, weight, and price.

This laptop is one of the best purchases I have made. It is very versatile. You can use it as a regular laptop or as a tablet. The touch screen is easy to use. The graphics are amazing for movies and videos. The laptop itself is sleek and thin. I really liked this feature when I compared the Lenovo Yoga 3 to other makes and models. I would highly recommend this product. You get a lot for your money when you compare it to other products in the same category.

I was shopping for a home office laptop for work, lots of excel and need for connections through a secure vpn. I expected to buy a $600 dell or toshiba but was quite taken by the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro reviews and especially the light weight. I love this machine! It's beautifully designed with a comfortable keyboard and the weight is lighter than my tablet/keyboard combo. Well worth the extra $300 I paid over my budget. The computer itself gets a five star. However I deduct a star because the Best Buy version came filled with Lenovo Adware plus a nasty adware program that infected the computer almost immediately. After purchase I learned online that this was a problem with a certain version of the Lenovo Yoga that was discontinued, lucky me that Best Buy still sold it. It was fairly easy to remove with Anti-Malware Byte but very annoying. Today my computer is pop-up ad free and I love it.

I travel 95% of the work week and the Yoga 3 has been a life saver. Since I consult with other companies carrying two large laptops for two separate complies was a pain, but after purchasing the Yoga 3, I have been able to carry it along with one of the bulky corporate laptops. It's light weight, slim and sleek design are great and the touch screen is a plus. By setting up VPN, I have been able to access what is needed on the other corporate computer and not have to travel with three laptops. I love my yoga 3!

I bought this laptop for myself since I am starting college and I absolutely love it. It is the perfect laptop for anyone who needs portability, as it is super thin! And not to mention, it can literally turn into anything like a tablet or tent! Perfect for students because it has a touch screen and cool apps for remembering homework and exam dates! Love Lenovo and Best Buy price match!

I bought this laptop to replace a very large and more powerful laptop. My Yoga can keep up with the bigger boys while being very light and portable. I wasn't sure if the touch screen would be a novelty or useful. It has been awesome to use. I like that it converts into a tablet for taking notes. Overall this has been my favorite laptop that I have ever owned.

I bought the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro specifically to use for grad school coursework, but has quickly replaced my work computer as my go-to. It is fast and multi-tasks well. Very light, even lighter than my MacBook Air, but with a bigger and higher quality screen. It is a little cumbersome to notate directly on the screen in tablet mode - you have to download your document to another app and do it from there, which can slow you down while taking class notes - but that's the only issue I've had. I am able to easily move back and forth between tablet and laptop modes by simply moving the screen to the position I want. The hinges are sturdy and hold the screen in the exact position I need without slipping. Battery life is reasonable. It doesn't go all day, but I get a good 5 hours or so with the screen up and in use.
It is a little pricey, but well worth the investment.

The device is excellent as a PC, a tablet, a media display and more. The piano hinge feels like it will last forever and definitely keeps your device in whatever mode you like, this is truly a versatile configuration. It is also extremely lightweight and this is a big plus for users with joint/muscle issues.
The Yoga boots in seconds with the SSD, has more than sufficient RAM for Office and regular application use and I haven't used a better performer for daily operations. I have not used it for gaming, but suspect that the GPU and incredible 13.3" display would be up to fairly demanding games.
I would give this device 5 starts if it were not for Windows 8. If you are used to the obtuse sign-in options, you won't be disappointed with it all.

Needed a new laptop, but really wanted the number one priority to be weight, which i know seems odd. This little model is light, fast, and more than "sufficient" and i do really love it! Only complaint: the power cord is shorter than i had grown used to, and as someone who likes to move around the house a lot, this is a bit annoying, because one needs to be quite close to an outlet to work w/o battery.

I fell in love with the gorgeous screen of Yoga Pro 3 right away, who wouldn't? I thought you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between FHD and QHD, but it is noticeable.
I was disappointed that Lenovo decided to put Intel Core M on the top of the line product. But I decided to go ahead and give it a try. It would stutter on simple YouTube videos. Seriously???
Pros:
- Beautiful QHD screen
- Super light
- Quiet
Cons:
- Performance is not as robust as i5 or i7 for the price
- Keypad felt too flat, touchpad is not as responsive
- Watchband hinge is great but the plastic hinge next to it makes rattling noise when moved.
- Everything felt rubbery and plastic, and felt cheap

From Mac to PC Lover

I want to start by saying I still own 2 Macs currently, so I didn't completely ditch OS X. When Windows 8 came out I lost interest in the Windows OS, only to occasionally use it in BootCamp for gaming purposes, now Windows 10 is out and I decided it was time to try a Windows computer again. Now originally I was going to buy a MacBook Air to go along with my MacBook Pro, but I really wanted a touch screen, and of course I wanted it to be thin, and light. I tried several other laptops that were 2-in-1 designs, but were more clunky, or had some other issues. I then went online, and looked at a few comparisons, and I saw that this ranked among the top best 2-in-1's. I also saw that this was going to be thinner, and cheaper than the MacBook Air, and at the same time offer better features than Apple's new MacBook with Retina Display. So I decided to head out to Best Buy, and play with it for a while. I then saw how thin, and light this thing was. It literally feels more like a tablet, than a full laptop. Also I use Photoshop, and Blender a lot, and found that the screens' resolution was an extreme bonus. Now to end, Windows 10 is AMAZING! And it works for a PC like this one. With you being able to use Windows 10's tablet mode when you have the laptop in the tablet position, or view a full desktop when in laptop mode, with the best features of Windows 7, and 8 combined, Windows 10 Amazes me, an avid Apple fan!

I loved most of this laptop. Unfortunately, I loved everything except the most important part: it's processor. The hinged screen was great. The touchscreen and keyboard were great. The resolution of the screen and weight of the laptop itself were great. However, the processor was absolute garbage. I understand that it was the first generation of the new intel M processor, but if you're trying to use Google Chrome and any other program, you're going to be a very frustrated Lenovo customer. This laptop is at most for the casual laptop user or traveler.

I bought this ultrabook 3 in 1 for my wife. She loves the build quality, but noticed that everything took longer on it than on her Yoga 1. After some digging on the computer to find the cause, I uninstalled McAffee and that fixed most of the delay. However, she is still unsatisfied with the $ spent and lack of tangible improvement over her 2 year old laptop.
The processor may be holding it back, but it shouldn't be. The Wi-Fi isn't very strong. The screen and build quality are excellent.
I might recommend it for someone unsatisfied with their current laptop who is looking for a convertible 3 in 1, but cannot completely recommend it to everyone.

Even though I had to replace it after a month for another one due to it starting to overheat, it is a great laptop. When the best buy associate helped on the replacement offered other laptops I was unwilling to change to another one. It is very light, easy to use, can become a tablet, and very thin. The hinge on is very well constructed. The new one I got has worked perfectly. I use it for home and work. The only down side I have for this laptop is that I had to buy an external DVD drive to put my programs that I use on it, and it does not have all the connectors on it that I am used to. It has some connection points that I haven't figured out yet. I have had several laptops over the years and this one is by far my favorite due to size and ease of use

very light computer, very fast start up with ssd drive, key board good, I'm not a fan of windows 8. the on board mouse pad and left right buttons are not so good, buttons appear flimsy and pushing one makes the whole pad area move. with exterior usb mouse it works fine. there is room for improvement, but overall I would buy it again.
