M processor is slower than i5

I own Yoga 2 and was looking to upgrade to Yoga 3. So, I read a few reviews and noticed people complaining about speed. It is indeed correct that Yoga three only comes with an M processor - no option for i5 or i7.
M processor is much slower than an i5 processor, let alone an i7. However it takes a lot less in terms of power. So you should get more battery life from Yoga 3 compared to Yoga 2. But when you are in the market for a $1000+ laptop, you don't want a low end processor. All Yoga 3 laptops are slower in performance than Yoga 2 laptops - with the same batter (and a new hinge). Then how come this is an upgrade? Think about it. I would recommend - get a Yoga 2 pro. It is a beautiful machine or wait for Yoga 4.
After looking at these details I decided to hold off upgrading until Yoga 4.

Great choice in a 2 in 1 laptop, fast and easy to use if familiar with the Windows formats. Very light and good battery performance. A bit aggravated that had to go back to Best Buy to checkout an issue with software which was notified by email. After the time to go, was told by Geek Squad member that the software issue was already corrected - therefore wasted time, but Best Buy benefited because spent a couple hundred dollars on other things.

Actually bought the Lenovo - Yoga 3 Pro for my college kid but boy-oh-boy, I wish it was mine!
It really is super light, quite quick because of the SSD, has enough power to do most general computer tasks and the screen looks quite nice. Win 10 also seems to be pretty decent.
There area few negative points:
I am not a WiFi fan so a Gb Ethernet port would be good. I would probably get a USB3 to Gb adapter.
I would prefer a full size HDMI connector. Micro HDMI ports and connectors are just not all that strong.
Other than that, its nice...

I really enjoy the 360 rotation and accurate touch screen. It's very light and versatile with a long battery life. However sometimes watching videos will significantly lower the battery. Also be aware there is no CD drive.

I'm an IT Project Manager and I'm able to use my laptop to do extra work at home. I'm also an MBA student and am able to use it for all my schoolwork in addition to all my normal personal uses. I like that I can use it as a tablet or a laptop and that it is very light and portable. I'm very pleased with this purchase so far. This laptop was recommended to my by someone at work and I have recommended it to others.

The laptop meets my needs the touch screen is great. I was amazed how fast I picked up on the touch screen for a laptop. There are some compatibility issues with software that I use with Windows 8.1, but I am sure that will be changing quick. The speed of the laptop's integrated memory is great and really fast to start up.

Love the look and feel of this laptop, but a little disappointed with battery performance and processor speed. I realize it is difficult to have a large battery in such a small laptop (I do love the size), but battery management software could be better. As for the processor, I wish lenovo stuck with the i7 like it had with the yoga 2 pro. Still a great laptop and would recommend.

Was looking to replace my HEAVY Asus gaming laptop as i don't game anymore, this Yoga seemed too fit the bill. It does all i need, and then some.
Boots fast, runs great - some slow down on heavy apps, runs a little hot underneath near the top right corner.
Screen is excellent - make sure you set the windows scaling though, otherwise some program screens look 'strange' - If you are unsure about scaling GOOGLE it.
Overall a great buy, good price and looks awesome.

This laptop is a little on the higher end when it comes to cost but is well worth it. The possibilities are endless. I'm still finding new things out about it. That being said this device can go as far as you want with it

Cons: Battery life significantly shorter than expected (2-3 hours tops) and the indicator fluctuated wildly. Super slow to open common programs like Outlook. The super high resolution is great in limited apps, but in many others it was actually a major drawback because the programs aren't capable of handling it and the fonts were so small I needed a magnifying glass. (tried changing screen res). Super specialized cord and 60 back order on a spare. What if I lost it? Also cord was very short.
Pros - light.

Light, easy to use, great that it is a laptop/tablet in one. I am on my third though as the first two had issues with the speakers. This third one has the same issue (static) rarely so not as bad or as often as the first two. Best Buy made the exchange very easy to do though.
