Very Good Laptop w/a somewhat limited battery life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly do not have any major complaints about this machine outside of the battery life. The screen is 600 nits. I never keep brightness more than half brightness and at that level the battery might last 6 hours and sometimes 7, so I have to keep brightness very low to try and extend the battery life. This doesn't extend the battery much at all. If you have brightness at half or more then the machine will not even charge to full capacity because the screen is such a drag. 600 nits is impressively bright, but it is such a drag that I suggest you only enjoy the uber brightness of the screen when you are plugged in and charging. I have not encountered any speed problems or lag issues. I have only had the laptop for about 5 weeks and I have been very busy with work so I have not used the AI aspect of the laptop much at all. When I do copilot searches it is pretty aggressive about wanting you to use microsoft edge even though I have already made chrome my default browser for work reasons. I understand that copilot is microsoft and edge is microsoft, but they are not supposed to be constantly forcing edge down our throats and attacking my default browser. Even with these issues I still enjoy this laptop a lot. There is a ton I have not gotten to test out and enjoy. Sometimes Copilot is not as fast when doing searches, it might take 2 to 4 seconds, as opposed to less than a second on my other machines. One caveat is I am on a university campus that is new to me and I am using guest wifi networks so maybe that is the cause and it has nothing to do with this laptop. All in all I am way more happy with this laptop than I am bothered by the limited battery life.

Regarding your issue with battery life – there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

It tends to be a bit too touchy and jumps forward or back or somewhere I don't want to go. It also lacks a port for a camera memory card. I need that because the guy who takes pictures for club events gives me the photos on a memory card so I can load them to our Facebook group, Just posting this note I've had to make multiple corrections due to the jumping all over.

To help ensure that this "jumping" isn't a hardware issue that would need to be serviced, we'll try to address this with software and firmware updates. First, we recommend opening the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, then apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.

Perfect laptop for a student

The keyboard is easy to use, the ram and storage are more than enough, and the touch screen has been a pleasure to use. The build quality is great and laptop come with the ability to add storage with a micro sd card. The only negative I can talk about is that it doesnt come with a pen.

How great of a Laptop this is

It’s slim and folds into a tablet which is very convenient when taking it out somewhere like to school or work . It instantly unlocks with my face or fingerprint which is useful in a daily life . It’s battery life is great since it lasts throughout the way with two or three charges which is fine with me . It’s performance is fantastic , all the games I would want to play would run good such as Fortnite, Minecraft , and probable Forza Horizon 5. if your looking for a laptop that folds , has good performance, has face and Touch ID , and is slim , this is the one for you
