I use it for school and work purposes and it does not cease to fail me. From the touch screen to the flexible bends it can do. I highly recommend this product for anyone iin school. Great memory storage as well.

I just wanted something newer and faster. Got used to the changes in OS 11 fairly quickly. Only thing I don't like about OS 11 is that it directs all saved materials to the Cloud. I prefer saving items to the internal memory and it does have over 500GB SSD. You have to jump a few hoops to access the SSD. I bought the 16" because I like to use a numeric key pad.

Originally was drawn to the fact that it could fold down and be used as a tablet, but I find that I do not use this feature much mainly because of the size and weight then of the "tablet." Other than that, it fits what I need it to do.

I finally narrowed down what I wanted/needed and this one was perfect! I don't need it to be as high powered as a gaming computer but I have ADHD and tend to multitask! So far it has handled it all very well! The screen looks much bigger than I thought but my school provided computer is like a 13" so this one seems huge! It's great!

So far, the main thing I don't like is the battery life. It's supposed to last about 13 hours, but it seems to last 2, maybe 3 hours. Though I have checked the settings, I haven't found any way to set a notification for when the battery is getting low. And have had the laptop suddenly trun off, losing what I was working on when it shuts off.

Regarding your issue with battery life – there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life.
If you want to squeeze out more time before having to plug in again, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.
It is great to know that you are otherwise impressed with your Yoga 7i so far, and we appreciate you taking the time to share this with us.

Great laptop for regular use.

Good laptop with mediocre scree (not 2k, FHD+)

The build quality on this laptop is very good and that is expected for a $900 laptop. Decent selection of ports and battery life. Compared to Dell Inspiron in this segment, this has better trackpad, IR camera that support windows hello. The main drawback I see is the screen resolution and color accuracy for $900 laptop especially when it is 16inches. It should be at least QHD resolution. Overall I would recommend this laptop if it is on sale.

To clarify the advertised resolution, these resolutions are defined by the Digital Cinema Initiatives, or DCI, a governing body comprised of major motion picture studios. The 1920x1200 resolution is considered as 2K as the horizontal resolution (number of pixels across the display) meet the parameters to fall under the 2K umbrella.
