Battery life

Battery life can be impacted by multiple factors including workloads, device settings, and background processes. Many of these factors can be adjusted by the user such as disabling Bluetooth when not connecting to wireless devices, turning down brightness, turning off the backlit keyboard, or disabling Wi-Fi when not needed.
Firstly, please ensure your device is up to date on all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates can improve your device’s power allocation leading to improvements in battery life. To check for updates in Lenovo Vantage, start by launching the Lenovo Vantage app and selecting the “Check for updates” button on the right-hand side of the homepage. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
The Yoga 7i also allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, battery life, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Vantage app, then on the right-hand side of this display select the “Thermal Mode”, then choose “Battery Saver” for enhanced battery life. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey. By default, the device will consume more battery to ensure higher performance but you can toggle this with the steps above.

To start, to ensure the system is running optimally, we recommend checking if you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.
Also, when the system runs "slower", is this after device startup or waking from sleep? Do you notice this with certain programs or a set of apps open? Does this slow down happen across the system to affect overall responsiveness? Good laptop with nice features overall

Other than that I really enjoy how it can bend backward and go into tablet mode. However the things I dislike about this product is that even though it is able to go into tablet mode the 16" screen is extremely big making it kind of awkward as a tablet. The other thing is the build quality on this device is just not great as there is lots of squeaking and creaks.

Nice computer - but it’s not a Mac.

It has problems switching automatically between laptop and tablet mode - particularly in sensing the keyboard. But the screen is nice @2k and the touch sensitivity very good. All in all, just still a bit slow processing over network and connectivity issues to external monitor/tvOS.

We love the setting where you open the lid and it powers up. We did have to send it back for repair within the first year for a port that stopped functioning and the down arrow key occasionally sticking. But overall we are satisfied with the purchase.
