We love the setting where you open the lid and it powers up. We did have to send it back for repair within the first year for a port that stopped functioning and the down arrow key occasionally sticking. But overall we are satisfied with the purchase.

Regarding the fingerprint reader, we recommend making multiple "copies" of the same finger or more than one to help with recognition, along with checking for fingerprint reader driver updates. To check for updates, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.

Good but no camera

There is a dot at the top of the frame around the screen where a camera would be. Sadly I assumed it was a camera. It was not.

This Yoga 7i 2-in-1 features a manual Privacy Shutter built in for security. Be sure the Privacy Shutter is completely open before trying to use the webcam or the webcam will not operate. There is a small slider, directly above the webcam lens. Move the tab to the right to open the Privacy Shutter. There is a red dot over the webcam lens that will disappear when the Privacy Shutter is fully open. This will indicate that the webcam is really to use. You can close the Privacy Shutter when you are done with the webcam for your security, by sliding the tab to the left to close the Privacy Shutter. The Red Dot will appear over the webcam lens when the Privacy Shutter is closed.

Thought I loved it.

But after only three months of use, the speaker started sounding garbled and the internal microphone stopped working altogether. I took it to Best Buy, and as usual, they immediately blamed “water damage,” which means they won’t take responsibility. This is definitely NOT water damage—I’ve never had it anywhere near water. It’s incredibly frustrating. They also told me that if I wanted it sent out for repair, it could take weeks, which simply doesn’t work for me. I need it for school and can not go without. Very disappointed in both the product and the support
