Lenova Laptop

(The keyboard issue we were told by Geek Squad was due to a Microsoft update that causes the keyboard to stop working, requiring us to go in to the setttings and uninstall the keyboard and restart the laptop to fix)

BitLocker hassle

I had to go to my Microsoft account to get the 20 digit recovery key. Then after doing that and getting the laptop to open...it did it again. Finally.. online..I learned how to deactivate Bit Locker. I didn't know that that Bit Locker was installed on the laptop. It was a hassle that I feel that I didn't have to endure. The laptop is fine now.

The price was a little high but then went on a black friday discount so I was able to get the difference back. I love this new laptop. It has all the features I want such as a light up keyboard, numerical pad, and tablet mode. It exceeds all my needs for what I use my laptop for. I highly recommend.

I'm a beginner video editor/photoshop for the company work for creating video and static ads. This laptop is so far able to handle all the editing I've been doing without any dropping frames, lag, and so on. The footage I work with is not 4k footage so I'm not sure how it holds up with 4k clips.

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect the device’s power output leading to enhanced battery life. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
Secondly, the Legion 7i allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Space app, Under the CPU and GPU Performance gauges you will find the option to toggle performance profiles. We suggest using Quiet mode which will lower the temperature of your Legion 7i when under load and reduce power consumption. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.

Great Deal!

Didn't need a higher resolution OLED display. Setup was easy - up & running in no time...got an external CD drive so I can load software & video. Just wish there were more usb ports but already have a hub so no biggie.

It does pretty much anything that I ask it today. Some of the harder task are more demanding of a processor. It takes a little bit longer but not near as long as it would on the computer from a year ago. I'd recommend this computer to anybody

Way Better Than I Expected

I’ve been using it every day since it arrived, and honestly, it’s been great. Performance: It’s fast. I can have a bunch of tabs, apps, and videos open and it still runs smoothly. No loud fan noise, no weird lag—just reliable performance for work and everyday stuff. Screen: The 16-inch touchscreen is one of my favorite parts. It’s bright, clear, and the extra screen space makes a bigger difference than I expected. Touch response is super smooth, and I like flipping it into different modes when I’m watching shows or just browsing. Build & Design: It feels solid and well-made. The hinge is sturdy, the body looks clean and modern, and even though it’s 16 inches, it’s not too heavy to carry around. It has a “premium” feel without being overly flashy. Battery Life: Battery life has been surprisingly strong. I can go most of the day without charging unless I’m doing something really demanding. Keyboard & Speakers: Typing on it feels comfortable, and the backlit keys are a nice touch. The speakers are better than what I’ve had on other laptops—good volume and clarity for watching videos or listening to music. Overall: I’m really happy with this purchase. It’s a great all-around laptop—fast, reliable, and super versatile. If you’re thinking about getting the Yoga 7i, I’d say go for it. I’m glad I did.
