Simply Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was shopping for a new laptop after I broke my Asus. It was between the windows surface pro 4 and this one. It was a no Brainer. More bang for your buck. Lenovo is very fast sturdy and dependable. If you're in the market for a new laptop, get this one. 16gb RAM 512gb SSD. the best!

Very Noisy Fan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice design except some Chinese quality control issues; non-uniform coating on the lid cover results in minor blotches. I was willing to sacrifice my meticulousness for the performance this time b/c of design. It is quick but the fan sound is horrible even if you're just browsing the internet. In fact as I'm writing this review, it sounds like it's rendering a movie or a 3D photo. I'm sure it will get way worse with movies and renderings. Battery is not up to the mentioned specs. It's going back to BB today.

Lenovo locked the BIOS to prevent Linux installs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am rating this product 1 star because Lenovo locked the BIOS to prevent Linux from being installed. The Solid State Drive is in some weird RAID mode that not even the Windows installer from Microsoft recognizes without drivers from Lenovo being put into the root folder of the installation media. Linux distributions like Ubuntu can't see the storage either and so you can't install. There is no way to put the SSD in AHCI mode because Lenovo locked the BIOS into RAID mode, and refuses to fix it. A person on the forum topic for trying to get Linux installed on the Yoga 900 ISK2 ended up hooking up an external ROM flasher to get around Lenovo's signature check on the BIOS image, and flashed a custom BIOS into it by default, and then was able to put the SSD into AHCI mode and install Linux. In other words, if you want to be able to run anything but Windows 10, and don't want to have to go through an ordeal to get Windows 10 reinstalled if anything ever happens to it, then don't buy this computer.

Posted .To improve system performance, Lenovo is leading an industry trend of adopting RAID on the SSDs in certain product configurations. Lenovo does not intentionally block customers using other operating systems on its devices and is fully committed to providing Linux certifications and installation guidance on a wide range of products - https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/pd031426. Unsupported models will rely on Linux operating system vendors releasing new kernel and drivers to support features such as RAID on SSD.

Worst computer ever I own
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been three months since I bought this bad computer and nothing but problem. First the sound jack stop working and later the screen gave up on me. The worst part was, I travelled to Brasil and when I tried to contact the Lenovo´s help center, they have made my life miserable. The computer is still under international warranty but the company not intersted to look at or resolve the issue. I have been asked to presents receipt and other documents at least by three so called technical supports.

Don't buy unless you like frustration
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Levono Yoga 900 for one year now. I was excited to have a thin lighweight laptop/tablet. To be honest, I am not happy right now and have stopped what I was doing to write this review. What I was doing was entering data in an exel spreadsheet when my Lenovo locked up. Screen froze. No mouse or keyboard functions would worked. Control Alt Delete didn't work. I closed the lid and reopened 1 hour later with the same conditions. I finally pressed and held the power button to reboot. Yes, all data was lost, again. This happens often and before you ask, I do save often. It has happened at least 3 times in last 30 days. I don't know if it's Lenovo or Microsoft OS or browser, but I am ready to go back to my 4 year old laptop that was solid and reliable (and heavy) . There are other annoying issues. Before I purchased, I read the reviews on double type letters. It's true. I am backspacing all the timme just to clear the doubble types. Ok, I left the two double types on purpose because it really did happen. The sensitivity to the touchpad seems to cause havoc on screen, as it selects hyperlinks while browsing. I recommmend (double typed again) using a PIN to login instead of email. I was locked out of my computer and took 3 hours to find good help on the phone to get me back in business. I have had many computers that I've bought and built since Commodore 64 and this Lenovo has cost me more of time and lost more data that any other. I don't noormally (again) write reviews, bbut (again) I want warn others of the problems I had and might run across if they purchase this computer. I had blank display when the computer wass (again) running and found on line help to reboot with power cord disconnected. It worked. There are just too many inconveniences to claimm (again) this computer is worth buying. I plan to use the 512 SSD as a storage device....a very expensive storagge device.

Love it but it's too fragile
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was laying on the bed and the screen broke - not sure how that happened. Didn't want to wait 3 weeks for sending it off so found local place to repair - they broke the webcam which is not available to replace - so now have been without pc for over 3 weeks - (yes should have sent it in with Geek Squad), with no ETA in sight to ever get it back. I think it is too light and breaks too easily to be leveraged for everyday toting around.

Poor Manufacturing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop was purchased in May, 2016. It has 2 inherent flaws: 1) the speakers were defective, which requires a trip back to a Lenovo repair center and 2) it periodically will not start up when being in sleep mode. The latter problem is a common issue with his model, according to online sources and the BB Geek Squad. The third time it would not start, I took it back to BB and the Geek Squad and had them re-seat the battery. You can't do it yourself and if you open it up yourself, you void the one year manufacturer's warranty. Miraculously, we got it to start again, but this is a defect that needs to be fixed at a Lenovo repair center. This unit is not worth the price and the hassle. I am sorry I purchased it. Now I have to scramble to get a substitute laptop while this one goes in for repair.

Not a good "business" laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this thing to replace my six-year-old MacBook Pro and have regretted it ever since. It's not very good. It has difficulty connecting to wireless networks at client offices, even at the local coffee shop. It sporadically id's my office printer - most times I have to email docs to my old MacBook in order to print - no issue with that one. Windows 10 email set up is not as easy as advertised. I have four email addresses for different things (work, personal, clients, etc) and it has been insanely difficult getting them all lined up. One of them - an Exchange account - I can't get to work - I just have to open it on the web. Have thought about returning it - still might - but for now I have the six year old laptop open next to it, and that's not ideal.

Cannot run Linux. No Vendor Support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The latest version of this device cannot be loaded with Linux. The vendor/Lenovo is aware of this and shows no interest in fixing the BIOS to make this possible. No vendor support and no Linux means its worthless to most developers.

Don't buy this junk, those who did return soon...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Read this and just take my advice because this computer and the company as a while is awful. Trust me you will have screen issues, touchpad will be noisy and will wear quickly, sometimes you will get unrepsonsive keys (unless you type really hard the I suppose then no issues), and the dreadful "watchband hinge" will make noise. I bought the computer only 3 months ago and had the screen replaced already and the touchpad adjusted. Now the screen is doing the same thing (rippling like water when moving or adjusting screen). The computer has all the bells and whistles you can imagine but when you need to constantly wait to have it fixed, then thats where the issue lies. Not a good computer at all. All this you read about oh it performs great blah blah well no worries it will until you start using it!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spending 1,400 on this garbage--it shuts off randomly or won't turn on. Very low quality components
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop a few months ago. Since then it has had multiple issues with various components (screen, speakers, fan) but lately the sound card stopped working altogether. I have the extended onsite warranted, but still the support provided by Lenovo is awful. It has been over a month and they still are not able to fix or replace my defective unit and tell me that there is nothing they can do but wait when I speak to them on the phone. Correctly my support ticket says that someone will "contact you in 56 to 58 business days". This is completely unacceptable. Very unhappy with my purchase.

Very annoyed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed lenovo vantage and made all the critical updates suggested by LENOVO. The bios update lead the computer to no longer recognize the SSD, I bought a new SSD bit it also does not recognize the new sad, I tested the old one and it is good with all the files on it. looked over blogs and that is an unsolved Lenovo issue. Would not recommend due to critical software bugs like that,

Run away
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within 200 days of purchase, the USB ports on the computer died. I am leaving for a trip in less than 2 weeks and Lenovo has no way to expedite the repair process so I can have a functioning computer for my trip. Best Buy appears to be unwilling to do anything about the defective product I was sold as well. Be forwarded the charger for this computer takes up two outlets.

Posted .We are sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your Yoga 900-13. Since your system worked for 200 days prior to this failure and from your description of the problem, all of the USB ports are inoperable, this sounds like a software issue that may be caused by an automatic Windows 10 update. There are several things you can try, 1.) Try restring your system to a restore point before the USB failure. 2.) There may be BIOS/system driver updates for your specific device. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific device. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well.
