Customers highly value the Yoga 910's stunning screen quality, lightweight design, and impressive performance. Many appreciate its beautiful build and fast processing speeds, although some find the fan noise noticeable under heavy use. The comfortable weight is frequently praised, while a few users mention challenges adapting to the smaller shift key. Positive feedback also highlights the ample RAM and, for some, the long battery life.

this laptop is amazing. im impressed with how many programs i can run at the same time and yet get no lag what so ever. the 4k display is amazing and watching videos on this laptop is really great. battery is good as well, average around 8 to 10 hours under medium load, if you're only doing simple tasks, you can expect more than 9 hours for sure. For those that complain about the loud fan noise which really isnt that bad here is a Yoga 910 Fan Noise hack: go into your Advanced Performance settings and turn the CPU usage from 100% to 99%.... bye bye fan noise. this will improve your experience.

Bought this laptop a week ago and I can't be any happier. All the complains about the shift key and loud FAN noise was really a none issue for me as i always use the left side shift key and the fan noise is not really noticeable on my machine unless of course if I'm trying to play any games. (nothing too fancy but some apps and LOL or DOTA2). The 4k screen and weight of this machine is stellar. The screen has some noticeable glare when brightness is at medium or low settings but tolerable. Battery life is superb, and it is extremely fast. Can't see myself using any other laptop aside from this in the next couple of years. Oh btw i purchased the special edition but mine doesnt have the print of what number out of 4000 I got at the bottom of the keyboard which i think makes my laptop extra special hahaha

Everything the New MacBook Should Have Been

My 2010 MacBook Pro recently kicked the bucket and I needed to replace it quickly. I had been tempted by the Lenovo Yoga series before and I was torn between whether I wanted to leave Apple and make the switch back to PC. This computer is absolutely beautiful. It is so light and its design is very competitive with the aesthetic of Apple computers. I also really appreciate the hinge on this computer as well. But looks can only get you so far with a computer. I am completely amazed by the speed on this thing. The specs really do speak for themselves. It's a powerful machine, but I have also been really impressed by the battery life. When you put it in battery save mode, you can definitely stretch it out for about 8 hours or so. I have seen a lot of people complain about the fan, but it doesn't bother me at all. I haven't heard it all that often and when I do it is a pretty gentle hum. My one complaint about it is the fingerprint scanner. I'd say it works for me about 20% of the time. It may just be user error, but it is a little finicky in my experience. But even this small problem does not deter from the overall love I have for this computer. I am so in love with my new laptop and I don't miss my MacBook one bit. This computer is a game changer.

Bought this as a gift for my wife to replace an aging ASUS, online reviews were mostly positive. After using it for more than an hour at a time it gets very hot and has now completely froze up on more than one occasion, causing her to lose work in Excel. I like the idea of the slimline computer; however, it appears that they did not address the cooling.

Lenovo Yoga 910 v HP Spectre x360
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This review covers both the Lenovo Yoga 910 and the HP Spectre x360, as I have had the opportunity to work with both, taking advantage of the return policies of Best Buy (thank you, Best Buy) and, earlier, the Microsoft Store. Short summary and bottom line – I went through four HP Spectre x360s in total and never got one that worked. I got the Lenovo Yoga 910 because of the HP failures and was so pleased with it, I returned it to upgrade to the limited edition Yoga 910, on which I am now writing this review. For the record, all machines are i7 with 512GB SSD and 16 gig of RAM. Also, for the record, I first started this quest for a Windows 10 laptop after being a Mac user for 12 years. So my baseline frame of reference is to a brand that is well recognized for build quality and design/aesthetics.
Notable features on the Lenovo: The build quality is very good. Feels solid and stable, and the keyboard is nice to work on. I don’t feel this is a downgrade in terms of build quality in any way from my Mac laptops. Perhaps the strongest feature is the screen. It is larger, brighter, sharper, and higher resolution than on the HP Spectre x360. This is an elegant and attractive machine that really stands out. The two drawbacks to the machine are the often-mentioned location of the right shift key, and the location of the camera. The right shift key issue is easily overcome by downloading a program called “keytweak.” It allows you to swap the function of the up arrow and the right shift key (or any other functions of any other keys). The one gap is I haven’t been able to get the “new” cursor up key (labeled on the keyboard as the shift key) to repeat when I hold it down. So if I am in a spreadsheet and want to move up several rows, I have to hit the key once for each row. The other weakness – the location of the camera – is overcome by using the laptop in tent mode. The camera is then at the top of the screen, and the angle can be adjusted to be the same as if one were using a laptop with the camera at the top. If you type a lot while on video conferences this won’t work for you as you are limited to the on-screen soft keyboard. But I don’t type much on video conferences (I tend to take notes using a pen and paper in most every setting) so this works for me. Lots of reviews mention the fan noise. Yes, you can hear the fan, but for me it is not an issue. It is just white noise that fades into the background.
Notable features (and failings) of the HP Spectre x360: I started this quest for a new Windows 10 laptop when the HP Spectre x360 came with a 6th generation i7 processor (they are now available with either a 6th or a 7th generation processor – note the 7th generation version usually sells for less, so don’t even look at the 6th generation). The first Windows 10 laptop I bought was the HP Spectre x360, 6th generation i7, at the Microsoft store. It came out of the box with a dent in it, right there at the store. So Microsoft did a swap to HP laptop #2. About two weeks in, it became unusable due to phantom touches (the cursor flashed on the screen as though someone were constantly tapping, making user input impossible). Microsoft gladly exchanged that machine for machine #3. Two days later, phantom touches again. So back to Microsoft, where they promptly refunded my money with no hassle. Kudos to them for that. By this time the HP Spectre x360 7th generation i7 had come out, exclusively at Best Buy, and was rumored to have solved the issues with the prior version. I purchased the new version at Best Buy (now 4th HP machine for me), along with the Lenovo Yoga 910, so I could compare them side-by-side.
The HP is a very nice machine, as long as you don’t often need to run it on battery. The keyboard is good, without the idiosyncrasy of the Lenovo keyboard. The HP keyboard has a different feel than the Lenovo. It is hard to say which I prefer – they are just a bit different. I think the screen is better on the Lenovo, but the screen on the HP is perfectly fine. Overall, I think the build quality, fit, finish and sturdiness is better on the Lenovo, though the HP is a sharper looking machine. Where the HP really fails is in the battery. Not only is the battery life better under real working conditions on the Lenovo, but the HP utterly fails the test of use under travel conditions. Plug in and charge your HP to 100%, unplug it and leave it turned off (put it in your travel bag the night before leaving town, say), and 12 hours later you have lost about 12% of the battery charge. It seems for every day that it is not plugged in, and not turned on, it loses about 24% of the battery (or 1% per hour of being turned off – not in sleep mode, mind you, but off). For example, on the last trip I took with the HP (and the Lenovo – again, testing side-by-side) I decided to put the HP away on Friday night, fully charged, and not use it anymore. It sat there all day Saturday, I flew home on Sunday, and when I turned it on Monday morning the battery was down below 50% of capacity. I can’t imagine how that meets the needs of anyone who does serious traveling with a laptop. If you are using it around an office, unplugging it to carry to a meeting down the hall, then plugging it in again, I can see someone deciding to go with the HP because it looks a little nicer or the keyboard feels better as a matter of personal taste. The single biggest advantage of the HP is the camera is placed at the top of the screen, but this isn’t much in my mind compared to the disadvantage of the battery issues. If you want a laptop that can live away from a charger all day, you need the Lenovo.

very nice laptop with top specs and beautiful screen. The fan noise is definitely an issue but I guess it's needed. The laptop is super fast, the fingerprint login works great no need to type anything. its a very light computer with nice looks, glass top gives it some personalization.
I think Lenovo should make some statement on the fan noise with what this computer cost.

I held out for 2 years on upgrading to a new laptop and I finally decided on this one. This thing is extremely nice!
Pros:
- extremely fast
- gorgeous 4K display
- great overall design
- great specs for the price
- 14 inch screen (needed a little more real estate than other 13.3inch models)
- the fact that it's a 2-in-1. It'S a little on the large side to use it a lot in tablet mode but nice to be able to stand it up to watch movies on.
Cons:
- 4K display reduces battery life over 1080p version. Expect about 6-7 hours of movie watching or gaming.
From other reviews on the 1080p version, they are getting closer to 9-10 hours. Worth it to me for a far better display.
- not extremely excited about the "glass lid". It feels more like plastic and is not as good looking as the solid aluminum models. I bought this version because it was on sale for $1299.
- fan is a little loud on occasion but not terrible.
Buy this laptop while it's on sale and you will not be disappointed.

I had been eyeing the Yoga line up for a while and now the glass special edition, I immediately picked one up on the released day. The Yoga 910 Glass is really nice. The 7th gen i7 performs well and handles all my productivity needs with ease. Nice to see 16GB and 512GB SSD. There is no bloatware other than very few Lenovo system utilities. Touch screen is great and very beautiful 4k display. The only thing that I am complaining about is the scaling of some application. With 4k resolution, certain app can be really tiny font... and very hard to work with. But that is not Lenovo fault, it is Windows 10 issue and I am hoping that will be handled properly with future update. Comparing to my daughter's Dell XPS 13, I like the Yoga Glass more!
