Solid state drive so no worrying about mechanical failure. i7 chip for performance and 12 GB of RAM. Light weight and thin; easily slides into backpack. Sturdy hinge design, if you want to use as a tablet. Great battery life. Bright, crisp display with wide viewing angle. Solid all around, general purpose laptop. Great choice for college student or as home computer.

Love The speed of the i7 10th generation processor, and the touchscreen (I’m a professor and it was a game changer to online teaching). The computer looks premium, and it comes with a 512 GB SSD. Only con for my was the absence of an HDMI connection. I solved it with a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Not a dealbreaker.

It was easy to set up straight out of the box. I got the Yoga C740 with 15 in screen, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD and Optane memory for quick boot up from off or wake up mode. The touch fingerprint login is great. I no longer need to type in my password. The Lenovo Vantage App is great. It updated the drivers and bios firmware automatically after download. No need to get into the BIOS yourself by hitting the F9 key on boot up. The keyboard is nice to type on and the touch screen is made of glass and easy to clean. It feels well made and solid. This is my personal use laptop and I love it. Very stable. You get two USB 3.0 on the right and another two USB-C on the left. The USB-C is where you charge the C740 and not on a proprietary plug. You can use a battery pack to charge it. Battery life is great! Over 12 hours of use on a single charge. That's what I love even more about it. Lenovo did a good job. The Dolby Atmos speakers are impressive for a thin laptop. I'm very happy with my purchase. Highly recommended.

I bought this to replace a $1900 machine that was stolen which I'd only had for a few weeks. The specs were better on the more expensive, but I haven't noticed ANY difference in performance. I would even say this one boots faster. The laptop definitely beats anything i've seen at this price point. The sleek, aluminum body stays cool, which keeps the fan from running so the machine is virtually silent most of the time. Bright, sharp display, great battery life, and it lets me multitask with 2 or more browser windows open with at least 10 tabs each while having large graphic files open in photoshop. It is also fairly lightweight but still feels sturdy and well put together. The only potential drawbacks for me are the fact that the USB-C charger/port seems like it may give out before their time, and the fact that the 12GB Memory are soldered to the motherboard, which doesnt allow for future upgrades. All in all I am extremely happy and feel like I got excellent value for my money.

This Laptop is big, fast and ready for anything. It is a touch screen which is is something every laptop should have. I work with pdf files reading plans so it is essential for me. Screen is bright even in direct sunlight. Battery life is great if you don't run at full brightness all day and is really way to bright indoors anyway. Fingerprint scanner is quick and great for security logging into cpu. Number pad is also nice to have for the work I do. Keyboard lights up and different levels that you would be surprised is needed sometimes in the light because the keys are shiny and will catch a glare. It's a little on the heavy side but nothing compared to a same size Macbook. My only complaints would be ease of opening it up and not using a magnetic connection for power.

It is fast for what I do (System Engineer). I have tons of open tabs at any given time and other various programs running in the background and no issues. I like the quality of the laptop, it is sleek and made of aluminum and not that plastic cheap stuff. The brightness is great and images are vivid. The backlit keyboard is an added bonus. Although the keys on the keyboard are bit to soft, I wish it had better feedback, Im still getting used to it, I feel they are too soft when typing. I never thought I would use the fingerprint scanner but with Windows login it is fast and just more convenient than having to type the password every time. The flip design is great to watch a movie/stream, looks great and can fold to just sit on a desk or table to watch conveniently. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. Just type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. I decided to purchase another one and the Lenovo Yoga was the one my daughter (and I) agreed would be a good pick to replace it. The Lenovo certainly wasn't the cheapest one out there, but the build quality is quite good. it is fairly light, has an excellent screen, and was easy to set up and use. The biggest problem I had getting it up and running was trying to get the Lenovo account set up, but finally got it figured out. My daughter hasn't had any issues with it over the last month and enjoys the brighter screen and lighter weight than the old HP.

Best Buy has next day delivery with best buy literary had the computer at my home the next day which was great when my employer suddenly swiched me to working from home, I ordered it Lenvo Yoga C740 on Thursday morning had it delivered at my home by early Friday afternoon. Was able to start working from Home that following Monday. Best Buy had -$50 off tis mdel . I paid $1175 with expediated delivery taxes and fees. That's a very fair price for high performance Brand New laptop with a big sceen 15.6 inch screen Touch screen 2in 1 , with the option to use in a complete tablet mode, an i7 processor, and full Microsoft office products , was veru easy to set up at home I never needed any assistance. its a good looking laptop, and still much cheaper then an Apple Pro

The high-speed startup is just that, very fast. I love the fingerprint sign on; it's so much better than having to type in a password every time. Screen size and speakers are excellent. The battery lasts a long time before needing to plug in the laptop to recharge. I'm not a computer guru so I like how easy it is to use this laptop. There so much it can do that I'm still learning about. I would definitely recommend this laptop for general or work purposes.

Not an Upgrade from the 720

I have a YOGA 720 that I use for home stuff, and when I was accepted into a PhD program, I decided to get a second newer model to run all of my virtual classes. While the C40 is lighter and runs just like my beloved 720, the decreased spaces for venting and other unknown reasons (I'm not a computer expert?) there is a major problem with heat in this model. No matter how many updates or fixes I run, I have to keep the the C740 propped up on various things so that it won't overheat and shut down. I've seen other reviewers mention this, so I was kind of expecting it, but not to this extent. I'm going to continue to use this model because I do love almost everything else about it, and I bought it knowing I would only be using it at my desk, but I don't recommend to someone who wants a mobile machine.

I do not do much gaming, no digitized art work. If I did maybe a little more horsepower would be nice. For general Microsoft office uses, connecting into the corporate network over the VPN. Definite Yes. To be a replacement for desktops in an office probably not. This is the third Lenovo Laptop product I have had. Design and build is a big improvement over my older Think Pads(2008 & 2013) and they were nicely built (and still functional). Beats the Microsoft Surface Pro it is replacing in the value department just not as portable. Since I have retired and no longer need better portability of the smaller Surface Pro. I bought the Lenovo Yoga to replace it and my old desktop and laptop both. It does an admirable job of covering all aspects desk top, laptop and occasional tablet style use. I wish they included the Active Pen 2 with them when packaged or that Best Buy stocked them at the stores. The Surface Pens has a heftier feel in hand but the Lenovo seems to provide a better use experience. The pen holder eating up one of the USB ports while odd does what is attended and easily removes when the port is needed. So far the Yoga has done all I have asked of it with admirable results Screen is excellent, keys back lighted and good feel, the Lenovo migration tool worked ok to bring over a bunch of files that I wanted on the new one.

The best part is that its a i7 code SSD. It is very fast and best for our daily usage. And the way this can be used as a tablet is the additional feature that makes this one a different machine when compared to its rivals. Ya, sometimes it gets heated up while charging, which surprises me as it being a new one. Overall a good buy and worth for its value

Excellent Computer

I have not used a windows machine since the Vista days, so naturally I was skeptical to make the switch, but I am blown away by the performance compared to the price. I looked at getting a similar spec'd Macbook pro, but that would have easily cost me 3x what I paid for this. I have not had any issues with this machine and I fully enjoy what I have done with it so far. The 15.6 in touch screen is wonderful and tent mode allows me to run dual monitors so much better than having to work around the keyboard. Overall, I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

It was very easy to set up and it starts up super fast. I really like the finger print scanner as well which makes the start up that much faster. I bought the larger screen as my eyes aren't as good as they used to be and I don't wear my readers if I don't have to. Great laptop and I would definitely buy another when the need arises.

Fast, quiet (even when fan running high when machine is being put thru its paces), very light. I came from a larger, 17" laptop and this is significantly lighter. Screen is very bright, even in outdoor setting. Processor is fast, plenty of RAM, fast SSD. Great machine!

Easy to carry around and is lightweight. Performance-wise, it has enough for what I need to stream video, surf and run a few Adobe apps. The only negative is that at times the fun will go on for a while and is loud especially when there’s no background noise going on.
