I am a developer and so far it has kept up with everything I have thrown at it. Zoom, Docker, multiple chrome browsers and a few dozen tabs, a couple instances of my IDE, plus a few other apps and it still runs smooth. So far so good.

It is almost an identical, but faster, upgrade from my prior Yoga after I had that one for five years. It still works, but is slowing down, and the new one keeps up with today's software much better so far with its faster speed and expanded memory.

I use it for work, will usually watch YouTube on the side and it'll keep up through the rapid keyboard tapping. Gaming is okay. I've run Baldur's Gate and Cyberpunk without a problem. Will stick with this until I can upgrade to something with an AMD processor.

Compared to the plethora of laptops I've owned and operated on before, this one is very light, capable, and aesthetically pleasing, Caught it on sale for bonus points. Used for school, virtual machines, and non-gaming related activities thought with a 4050, I'm sure it can play most popular titles just fine at 1080p.

Awesome Laptop

It takes everything you throw at it. Fast intel Ultra 9 cpu and a 4050 or 4060 graphics card for gaming, depending on which model. 16 inch display is beautiful and touchscreen 3k oled. Backlit keyboard. 32gb of ram super smooth. The only thing is the battery dies fast if you game on it or leave it in high performance mode all the time but is to be expected because your supposed to plug gaming laptops to the charger when gaming with every laptop. The battery can last if you turn off the gaming performance when your not using it for that. Other than that this thing is a performance monster. I would recommend.

Unless im just doing something wrong. Even with power efficient settings turned on, i still only get maybe 3 hours, and i haven't even put it to a hard task yet. All i have done is have pdfs open for a 8hr class. In theory i should be able to make it to the end of class or fairly far into the class time before having to plug it in, however thats not the case

For context, as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in powerful laptops like the Yoga Pro 9i, that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the NVIDA Control Panel app or in the system BIOS (not as convenient as the former option). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even more power conservation.
