Happy with the laptop upgrade

I have had this laptop for a few weeks so far, but I've been happy with it. It is almost an identical, but faster, upgrade from my prior Yoga after I had that one for five years. It still works, but is slowing down, and the new one keeps up with today's software much better so far with its faster speed and expanded memory.

Nice laptop

This is a very good laptop. I heard some fan noises when I turned it on after unboxing it, but I installed the latest updates for Windows and it’s been very quite most of the time. The battery only last 4 - 6 hrs, but I always have it plugged in.

A good labtop but definitely on the pricey side

Regarding your comment with battery – as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in laptops like this Yoga Pro 9i, that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards and high refresh rate displays. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the NVIDIA Control Panel, enabling you to choose the GPU working mode. You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even greater power conservation.

Great Laptop for photo editing

Toys laptop is a workhorse. I run Lightroom and Photoshop along with other software and the response is mind-blowing! I also added 1 terabyte extra drive for the extra hard drive space. Highly recommend this laptop.

Issues started right after warranty ended

I had high hopes for this laptop, but unfortunately it hasn't held up well. Almost exactly one year in, right when the warranty ended, several keys on the keyboard simply stopped working. Then, around the year and a half mark, things got worse. The power button started giving me trouble and the laptop began overheating during normal use. Battery life has also been a major letdown. When I first bought it, I was getting a solid 3 to 5 hours on a single charge, which was reasonable. Now I'm lucky to squeeze out 2 hours before needing to plug back in. I expected more durability and longer battery life from a laptop at this price point. Overall, it feels like the components were built to last just long enough to get past the warranty period. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable long-term machine.

What a machine. Performance, clarity, appearance. I was a dell guy until i found this. Fell in love. The facial recognition is as fast as can be. I would recommend.

Lenovo has really stepped there game up! This Yoga Pro 9i 16"3.2k 1TB. Has surpassed my expectations. I've been a hard core dell fan for 20 years. But after having purchased this laptop, I jumped ship! LENOVA gets my vote. Thanks Best Buy Staff.

Really happy with this laptop so far. It’s fast, smooth, and handles everyday tasks with no issues. The screen looks good, the design is clean, and the battery life is solid for daily use. Overall, it feels reliable and well worth the price. I’d definitely recommend it

Great for college

We bought this for our son in his senior year since we knew what his major was going to be in college. He needed something pretty specific. Maybe a risk but it paid off. We had some issues with lots of pops ups and running down his battery. We purchased geek squad and after two visits it was finally fixed. It’s worked great at school too.
