This is the wonderful Richard Jordan/Anthony Perkins version of the classic Victor Hugo story that I saw on TV many years ago. Unfortunately, it is the "cut" version that was shown in theaters. It completely cuts out the 15 minutes that happens between the time Valjean and Cossette find themselves in a convent garden when they are running from Javert & the cops, and when Valjean goes to see the Mother Superior (the regal Dame Flora Robson) to officially offer his services as gardener/handyman for a place to live while Cossette attends the convent school. I would kill for the complete version.
