Like the child safety features overall performance is good easy to operate. Only real issue is that the electrical cord is shorter and not recommended for an extension cord. Would prefer if it had at least another 12-18 inches.

Nice unit as soon as I figured out all the settings. Very quiet too. Subtle little bell like it's trying to be polite. The child latch is easy as well as soon as you get used to it. Easy to keep clean. I recommend it.

Very nice microwave! Easy to use. Doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. Heat up food fast compared to my old microwave. Best microwave I’ve had since my Kenmore which lasted 15!years

It looks great and works great. The only issue I have with this unit would be the touch buttons. I didn’t want to take away from the star rating because I think it’s a preference thing. I would prefer something more tactical. But besides that I love it.

I would highly recommend this microwave. At the beginning I found the locking mechanism to be a little annoying but after couple days it didn’t matter. I found myself unlocking and opening the door to the unit without thought. The heating of my food seems to be “evenly” distributed.

I bought this particular microwave for the inverter feature and am quite pleased with how it works. Instead of on again/off again at lower setting it actually puts out a lower consistent power thereby heating the food much more evenly without boiling over as much or drying out the edges.
I am quite pleased with the microwave, but noticed a few things that could be improved.
When selecting a lower power setting there is no indication of this on the display. It makes you wonder if you hit the button sequence properly or if it is on full power by mistake.
I got used to pressing the buttons on my previous microwave very quickly, but on this one you must physically remove your finger from the touch pad to hit the same number twice. I think my previous microwave had a pressure pad while this one is more like a cellphone. I'm getting used to it.
Finally, the numbers on the touchpad are very hard to see at counter level. It would have been nice if they were backlit.
On a positive note, it is quite easy to get full power in 30 second increments by simply hitting one button multiple times.
Overall I'm quite pleased with this microwave and consider the issues above to be minor annoyances.

Good microwave. Consistent heat, easy to program and use. The door has a child safety lock, which is great if you have kids, but you can also disengage it if you don’t. This is my second one in five years. The first one did not last more than five years, but for the price the ease in use and simple stick programming was worth it.

Clean and pretty appearance along with good performance makes this a good choice for a new Microwave.
A big advantage of this unit is that my wife who is blind can use it. This is due to a nice feature that enables anyone to push a location on the front panel to start a 30 second cook cycle. And it chimes when starting and stopping. It fits well in any Kitchen and is highly recommended.

This LG microwave is very nice, but not perfect. I shopped several online before making a decision. I like that this one is dark on the inside, not white, and has an easy clean surface. The turntable is removable for easy clean up. It's noticeably quieter than our previous Panasonic model while heating food. The chimes for the timer buttons and "DONE" alerts are delicate and charming. We can hear them anywhere near the kitchen, but not down the hall. This is a nice change for us because I don't have to worry about waking someone up if I want to get up early and use the microwave. There is a child safety lock that is automatically on when you open the box and set the microwave up. Since that is not a concern for us, we were able to easily turn that function off following simple instructions in the user guide that's included.
The ONLY drawback we have found is that the touchpad buttons are a little hard to push. They aren't "buttons", it's a panel. But we are having to press a little harder than expected, and with a little more focus to set the cook time. We can live with that, but I would suggest the manufacturer seriously look into why the touchpad buttons are not easier to set. It might be difficult for a child to use this microwave. Is that intentional?
This microwave came with a 1 yr manufacturer warranty, too. (10 yrs for the Magnetron) I still paid a little extra for the Geek Squad warranty so that I don't have to ship it back to the manufacturer if something goes wrong. Totally worth it.
Child lock frustration is now solved. Thanks to LG

WOW !!! I would give this 100 stars if I could, I went through the frustration of pressing additional keys on other microwaves in order to deal with the child lock. I just want to use the microwave! I don't have children and I don't want to work my tail off every time I want to use the microwave. !! Finally, I found this LG Model: MSER1590S And I am so relieved and ecstatic. I even wrote a letter thinking the CEO of LG electronics.! Yes, I really did! (His name is Chris Jung At the Englewood Cliffs New Jersey location) THAT Shows how complete the irritated and frustrated I was at the stupid child lock blocking me out of my microwave again and again and again. Thank you, LG.! Just a simple turn of the screw with the Phillips head screwdriver and it is unlocked. Anyone who can use the lock. But those of us without do not need to be driven out of our minds by this child lock Waste of time and giant frustration! Thank you, thank you thank you for a fabulous simple microwave oven. YAY LG !!❤️

Wonderful addition to our kitchen appliances! This microwave has all the bells and whistles of the more expensive designs and small enough to fit in the space originally designed to our customized home!

My son was moving into his first apartment and needed a medium sized counter-top microwave oven. We found this one on sale. It is the perfect size and has all the features he wanted for a very good price.

LG Microwave 1.5Cu.Ft. Countertop with Sensor Cooking 1200watts works very well. Have instruction manual handy or memorize sensor reheat/cook choices. Easy to clean, attractive design.
