Good micro. Fits in space that was for built in micro. Slipped right in.

We have had nothing but issues with our samsung appliances that are just over a year old and we are starting to replace them with LG. With that being said I read the reviews on this microwave and I liked what i read. The microwave is huge inside and it has some real nice features on it. The only downfall is I cannot get the clock to stay on. It is on a timer and shuts off after a few minutes. Not a huge deal because we have the oven right below it. I did purchase the surround kit to go with this microwave and it is very sharp looking. So far I am very happy with the purchase.

The microwave works fine, looks good and has convenient features. Wish the time of day displayed continually, and the key pad was easier to read - maybe backlit...

The Good: This is a solid microwave in that it is spacious inside, easy to use and warms food evenly. The Bad: (1) Sound - It has an auto-beeping feature where if you don't open the microwave door after it has heated the food, it beeps every ~30 seconds. That can get quite annoying when your multi-tasking and have this constant beeping going on until you can get to the microwave. And there is no option to turn the "reminder" feature off -- You would think this would be something that the user could disable, but the only option is to turn ALL sound on or off...so that's what we did, we turned off all sound. It took some time getting used to having a microwave that doesn't beep when you press a button when setting the time to heat food. Not that big of a deal to us, but thought it would be worth mentioning. (2) I REALLY do NOT like the fact that this microwave clock turns off automatically after ~5min of inactivity. I get that this is "an energy efficient" feature...but come on, how much energy could possibly be saved in a year for a small clock. The clock is still running (just in the dark), it only appears when the microwave is in-use. Again, I wish that LG had thought to make this an "option" for the user to turn on/off vs. just forcing these "features" onto us. I never really realized just how much we refer to the microwave clock when in the kitchen until it was "gone". We were almost tempted to return the microwave because of this...but it was more of a hassle to un-mount it from the trim & cabinet ...but if it was simply on our countertop, rest assured it would have gone back to the store because of the missing clock.

Bought this to replace our 13 yr. old 2.2 cu. Ft. microwave that started acting up (different brand). We have now had this one for a little over a month. Works great, love the 16” platter size (same as our old one), a big plus, as it allows room for a dinner plate and small bowl at the same time, or other container combinations, a big convenience in reheating a meal. The larger exterior size is worth the interior space. You would notice a 1.1 Cu. Ft. microwave on your counter anyway. Microwave is quite quiet when running. The rounded rear interior corners are a nice practical design feature. Those eliminate 2 corners making cleaning easier. The dark interior is different and takes some getting used to after seeing white/cream interior for 20+ years. But it does look nice. When cooking time is complete the beeper continues to beep every minute or so if you do not push the Stop button or open the door. That is a nice feature, so that you don’t forget you had food in the microwave if you did not hear the initial beeping. The one thing we don’t really like is that the control panel does not have a lot of contrast (white outlines) to easily see the specific buttons, as our old one did. It’s a little difficult to input in dimmer light. It makes the front panel look more solid black when you look at it, a plus I guess, but you still know it’s a microwave sitting on you counter. Can’t say anything about durability / life span, but hope it lasts at least the 13 years our old one did. Too many items today are being made as Disposable – why make them last too long.

Pros: This microwave has so many great features,well built Lg countertop model, it offer capacity ,style and functionality. This model wipes clean easily, and has extra large room inside because of its design.It also has so many great features that make it quick and easy to use.The value for what you are getting is amazing. Cons:Did not find yet food with TrueCookPlus Codes.

Overall there are no issues with this microwave. Huge capacity is incredibly helpful -there hasn't been a dish we couldn't fit in here. Clean up is super easy since the interior has a teflon-like finish. Rounded corners mean nothing is difficult to wipe off the back and sides. Heats food quickly , evenly, and quietly. My only complaint is the clock/time of day feature does not display EVER unless you open the door (as an energy saver feature. ) Well, it's useless because if I open the door I am likely going to warm something up which means i am going to put the amount of time I want to use it-and that time, of course , is what is displaying (automatically does this in settings-you do not have the option to override the energy saving feature even if I wanted to spend the extra pennies per year to display the time of day. Which I do.) So, why bother putting a clock on the display? For the price and expectation that technology is supposed to advance over time. this reason alone is why I gave it 4 not 5 stars.

What a great value for all of the features! I've had this microwave for 6 months and its been great...perfect color, perfect settings, perfect size! Love the black stainless which perfectly matches my other LG black stainless appliances. This thing seems to cook items almost instantly! I use it quite a bit to heat up leftovers, and it only takes 30 seconds!! The quick and easy "30 second express" button is my friend! Love that it has quite a few power levels as well, although I haven't had a chance to use all the features. Cleaning is a breeze with its rounded back "corners". The size of this unit is amazing, I could probably cook a turkey in it! Looking forward to exploring more of its features....

I had a previous model of this microwave and LOVED it. When it "died" I wanted to get another like it, so I bought the same kind...... but things had been changed. First off, the clock does not stay lit! And the new insert to the manual lets you know this cannot be turned off. We have used the clock on the microwave in the kitchen for many years and this new thing is not an update I like. Also, the popcorn feature isn't as good as the last one, so you have to listen like usual. So why have the feature if it doesn't work as well. BUT... besides all of that, I still like the microwave. The size is great for anything I want to cook in it. Easy clean up due to the rounded corners.

what a great design and lots of options to increase your microwave skills. touch the pad and all components work flawlessly. best parts are the interior coating and the front fingerless imprint casing, along with the curved interior backing. low sound when operating. some complained about the power saver clock display being off when not in use, but it does stay on long enough for functional operation. The enclosed GUIDE is easy to understand and explains all features without too much tech talk. Caution-if you are use to your old unit and how long it took to say 'cook a potato' this LG unit speeds that process. You still have the option to select your own time cooking or use Auto Cook settings. Lots of options to utilize over time. It is easy too clean. Just ensure you leave enough clearance to not block the vent systems. BTW: I did take the optional extended warranty for replacement. Worth it to me, especially if one has a cooked item that explodes-say popcorn, when a power loss occurs. It's covered for peace of mind.

The microwave itself is great. It cooks well and cooks fast. No problems whatsoever. And it's large, which is great. The only con is that the clock doesn't stay on all the time. WHY?!? There's a sheet in the manual that says it's to save power but...come on. An LED that small should use an infinitesimal amount of power to stay lit 24/7. You don't realize how useful that feature is or how much you've grown to rely on it until it's inexplicably missing. Seem like a stupid omission or a less-than-believable reason. Otherwise the product is great. YMMV.

This microwave looks nice in the kitchen, is very easy to use, is big on the inside, and has multiple options for warming, cooking, defrosting, etc. Great microwave.

I bought this microwave to replace an old one (20+ years) that was on the fritz, and I am very pleased. Besides the great appearance of the black silver finish, this microwave is large inside, fairly quiet when running, and very easy to use. I love the "EZ-ON" button, which you hit to turn the microwave for 30 seconds; each additional tap adds another 30 seconds. It also has several different defrost and sensor-touch options. Just beware that fingerprints show up very easily on the surface (at least on the black silver finish of mine), but they can be wiped away easily. All in all, a great microwave.

It is nearly twice a large as my old one and great features and simple to use. It is quiet and energy efficient in that I can prepare a meal in it more efficiently than using my range

This is an excellent microwave oven and a definite step up from the model we replaced. It is enormous (which is a positive for us). The menus are relatively easy to use when you reference the codes inside the door of the oven. There is one annoyance that prevents me from giving it a stellar review: the clock on the oven times out after a few minutes, and there is no setting to change it. I recognize that there are any number of ways that a person can check the time; however, I do not understand the benefit provided to the consumer by implementing a time-out on the clock.

I was surprised at how big this microwave is. Makes it very easy to reheat or cook in large casserole dishes. So easy to operate. Don't need the manual each time you want to operate it. Very user friendly. Heats up great! Only thing I had to get used to was that it is a little louder then my previous microwave. The noise is not something that would keep me from buying this item again. I am really enjoying my new LG 2.0 microwave. The Stainless finish is pretty and is easy to keep clean.I do see fingerprints on the latch, that you push to open the door. The Glass Base Plate rotates on a 3 wheeled base and is very sturdy and stable. The Glass Base Plate is large and a little heavy when you remove it to wash it. This glass base plate does not have notches on the underside, it is smooth. I like this because it makes it so much easier to put it back on the rolling base after cleaning it.

Love the microwave. Takes large items easily and heats evenly. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. Attractive front.

Using the Best Buy product sort/reviews I was able to purchase and pick up this microwave. I own other LG products and have always been satisfied with their operation and quality. Having a black stainless appearance adds to its modern look and easy interior to clean. Operation is simple, there is very little learning curve. Being Mid-Size allows for an easy to fit on my counter without using too much valuable real estate.

We bought a new microwave because we were moving into a new house. I chose this one because it matched the finish and the brand of my new stove. It's super easy to clean and I love the rounded cavity - no corners for anything to stick! It heats quickly, and I love the reminder that something is in the microwave. Highly recommended, because we love it!!
