I'm writing a review because it was ordered as a gift, but arrived in factory packaging. I unplugged the subwoofer just to make sure it was working, (the bass went away until I plugged it back in) and it definitely is working. It sounds much better than the TV speakers, but I am a bit underwhelmed.
