I immediately synced the sound bar with my google homes, and began listening to music at 50% volume. I then frantically lowered the volume since it would definitely bring noise complaints from my neighbors. Watching movies and Netflix with this bad boy has made the viewing experience more enjoyable. I really like having a sound bar that integrates with google home and Alexa (if I ever decide to switch), can be used over Wi-Fi, or be used via Bluetooth. The more connections that are possible, the better. All I can say is well done LG...well done.

Everything in my house is pretty an LG product so i decided to go with an LG sound bar. This is average at BEST! but I am extremely biased as i bought my mother a sony sound bar set and the bass is insane!! It was cheaper than the LG and completely destroys it in sound quality. So that's up setting, I now have the LG sound bar and room speakers set up in my bedroom and can turn it all the way to the max without having to worry my neighbors too much.

Good, not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The good: Once I figured out what needed to be tweaked in the TV settings it was seamlessly integrated with my LG B8 OLED (2018). The bar handles voices well and provides solid mid-range performance. The bad: Subwoofer bass is not great. It is noticeable, but does not allow for a "cinema" type experience. The atmos simulation (there are no upfiring speakers) does not add height, though the surround simulation is OK. I am returning it for a vizio 5.1.2

Lag issues are awful

I purchased the first one at the end of December and the first week was good then it started to cut out all the time (both with HDMI. & optical). I returned it about three weeks after purchase. I had to plead for them not to ship it out (past the 14 day return policy) and explained I just wanted a diff one of the same model (assuming it was a lemon). Here we are 4 weeks later and the second one is having the same issues. I’m beyond frustrated that Best Buy would put this product out, and now I will have to go through the same return process I’m sure just to find a diff product. I would love to talk to somebody who can help. Other similar reviews I’m coming across makes me regret my choice to buy this.

Avoid this sound bar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from the lg sh3k sound bar to the sk6y I had high hopes and was extremely disappointed, the sk6y sounded great in the store but it was paired to the optional rear speakers and couldn't be unpaired. The sk6y by itself is extremely flat sounding no depth the bass is a joke compared to my old sh3k. I will be returning this sound bar first thing in the morning, if you actually like depth to your sound stay away from this sound bar unless you want to spend more and get the optional speakers.

Fading out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We keep having the sound fading in and out while watching TV. Unplugged the optical cable cord, plugged it back in. Seems to be losing connection from the TV to the soundbar.
