I would recommend this unit. Sound quality is what I was looking for.

In the two years since purchasing the sound bar, we have had no problems. It works great. The sound is excellent.

Purchased this soundbar online only to find the box damaged upon delivery. It didn't appear that the damage to the box could have allowed any damage to the product but found that the grill to the soundbar was dented. I called my local Best Buy to inform them and was then forced to package it back up and drive there to exchange it. However, when I got there they told me they didn't have another in stock and was unable to order another. It would have been nice if they told me that over the phone before I drove there. I guess this was a 2018 model and they are now selling only 2019s. I upgraded to the 2019 3.1 version.

If you own an LG OLED T.V, these comments are for you. Atmos ARC lag is awful and you must connect the ARC to the soundbar and then use the soundbars HDMI 1.4 output to the T.V. The problem is, HDMI 1.4 doesn't support 4K HDR pass through meaning you will not get HDR when using the soundbar. If you only use ARC, you will get a sound delay so bad (even after adjusting the lag on the TV and sound bar) you'll switch to an optical cable which means you don't get ATMOS. The bottom line is with this soundbar you can only get 1. ATMOS with awful lag 2. ATMOS without HDR 3. No ATMOS + HDR. Unless LG fixes the ARC lag or you do not care about paying a premium for ATMOS that cannot be used without lag, stay away from this at all costs. I am past the return policy period or else I would have returned it. *For those unaware, ARC lag is basically when the sound output is delayed. You may see someone open their mouth to speak but it takes 1/2 a second for the sound to be played making for a terrible experience. *ATMOS did sound fantastic on the soundbar when you directly connect a 4K UHD player to the soundbar then output to a TV. The lack of HDR support via the output pretty much negates the quality sound because the video quality is lost. 4K is more about HDR than the extra resolution so if you can't have HDR then the entire soundbar system is useless for ATMOS due to the lag issues.

This thing was a steal! Great sound. Perfect for smaller rooms. The built-in Chromecast functionality is really handy.
